Any chance of Pauline Hanson getting a senate position? Nearly everyone I have talked to picked her for what ever reason, silly or not. Edited by MrBrisbane: 2/7/2016 05:48:48 PM

Edited by MrBrisbane: 2/7/2016 05:48:48 PM That brain-dead redneck makes a living from these elections. She runs in every state and federal election in NSW and Qld. Once you cross a certain threshold of votes you get $2.60 per vote gathered. The 2-bit doesn't give a shit about anything except the money. Her latest manifesto was a cut and paste where she removed 'Asian' from all her campaign material and replaced it with "Islam'.

She probably will get a seat because people in Queensland are stupid
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Tasmania is traditionally held by Labor and has the strongest Green vote in the country and is the worst state in regards to economic performance and people say it's a myth that the Liberals are good economic managers.

Edited by MrBrisbane: 2/7/2016 07:46:22 PM The fact our Politicians all say the same thing and have no personality probably why. So who else took this opportunity to turn their voting slip into a collage of dick?

So who else took this opportunity to turn their voting slip into a collage of dick? Pretty much, the only person that got me actually excited was Kevin Rudd but since he actually wanted to work hard as PM his fellow colleagues disliked him for it  I think it comes down the hosts of the shows talking about the elections as well, I love a good intellectual discussion but they still need to keep the audience interested.

if you want more exciting elections have optional voting. With optional voting pollies try to convince you an apocolypse will happen if they don't win
in ozthey just try and convince you nothing bad will happen if they win by being boring to catch the 2nd and 3rd preferences

labour ahead in 9 seats more than expected and behind in 3 seats more than expected (66 seats). If none of those seats change and the rest of the country does what polls predicted we are looking at a hung parliment despite the swing being weaker than polls predicted bizarre those+6 seats though involve narrow leads so liberals have a lot of paths to victory

libs still more than 50% chance of outright majority imo but still I had them at 83% chance before votes counted
what did the bookies see that polls and poly scientists didn't. Even if libs get 80+ (but labour get over 66) seats tonight its definitely a win for bookies over poly sci data types

Edited by grazorblade: 2/7/2016 08:08:43 PM So if it does go to a hung parliament, who has the better chance of taking it? Was reading up and there has only been two hung parliaments in our election history, Menzies and Gillard. Edited by MrBrisbane: 2/7/2016 08:17:43 PM

I think the TV networks and the media ignore the betting markets because if it's a lay down misere they can't maintain any interest. Just like blowouts in sport you always here them rabbiting on about 'it's not over yet' in a desperate attempt to stop you from changing the channel.
