The scary thing is that if the Libs form government, and Malcolm gets knifed we're going to get another fuckwit like Abbott (or indeed Abbott himself).

Yep. He needs a snickers.

Turnbull might be a centrist, but his policies weren't, Abbott has no chance of a return to the leadership....the extreme right of the Liberal party died tonight.

How did they win, the ABC are currently saying

L/NP 73

ALP 66

Other 5

? 6

How is that a win?

The magic number to govern in there own right, which the Liberals can't do anyway(with the Nationals) is 77.

Remember how he would bring things out for discussion regarding tax reform and as soon as there was a negative reaction he would rule it out?

People don't want that. They want a leader who will implement reform but explain to the people why it is necessary like adults not children.

Turnbull is a Labor politician stuck in the wrong party.

The traditional Liberal supporters were brushed aside.

And yet, Abbott showed his grace and maturity. He could be PM again. And then the natural equilibrium will be in place.

Libs have 74 seats to 67 for Labor with 5 seats still on a knife edge.

So the Libs only need 2 of those seats but will probably get at least 3 and maybe 4.

He's dead set had a stroke over this.

He is right though.

Turnbull should hang his head in shame.

Libs should have gone to the election with Abbott. Everyone knew where they stood with Abbott. There was no policy on the run either.

Turnbull brought back the 3 word slogans...
He also loves using the word "agile"...

He has no substance. He has zero leadership.

Name your price, and what odds you like, clearly delusional if you think Abbott will ever be Lib leader again, let alone front bencher.

That would be an unfair bet.

But willing to wager that Turnbull will not see full term.

Abbott is a possibility because he has significant support. I never claimed it was likely.

Abbott has support in his party but not the populace

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.
