1-0 Korea When we fail to get out of the group in January I'm going to make one of those subtitled videos with the toothless Spanish kitchen hand. Plenty of good material here.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Ikonomides has been class this game. Not a fan of selecting players for the NT without first team experience, but can see why Ange and Vidmar rate him so highly.

XI in no particular order:
Lennox, Gallifuoco, Smith, Ugarkovic, Mauk, Galloway, Burgess, Hoole, Naumoff, Ikonomidis, Taggart, Victory, Fulham and Ikon. Nice.

Lennox just fucked up playing out big time, his first touch to control a medium-low pressure backpass going into the upright and over the line. 2-0.

Mabil brilliantly beating his man but overtouching the ball and giving it to the keeper. Found a good shot on goal earlier, too.

Mabil one on one with the keeper in extra time but fucks up his good lead up work with a poor touch that allows the keeper the easily gather.

Apart from the wonder strike by Hoole we didn't look like a creating a chance all match, very poor tonight.
They have plenty of work to do, they were a bit better in second half but still possession for possession sake without any final product when it all matters.
Why hasn't Ange made coaching changes with Vidmar and Okon in charge is beyond strange.

paladisious wrote:Mabil brilliantly beating his man but overtouching the ball and giving it to the keeper. Found a good shot on goal earlier, too. That sums him up right there, great to beat his man when he lets himself down with the final stage with the keeper to beat. To be fair he looks like the only player that can try something different without passing the ball which the rest of the players did.
