FFV's NPL regulations refer to the team finishing on top of the ladder as the minor premiers.

Some states are still stuck in the 80s.

They have just released the format for the npl finals and I have to say it's a complete joke, the final can't be held in victoria which is absurd, south are guaranteed to host the semi if we advance from the quarters but it's still stupid, what was wrong with the system they had last year where hosting rights was determined by goal difference/red cards etc?

South Melbourne v West Adelaide looms as a huge old school semi final blockbuster if both win first up.
