The majority of starters got rested from Celtics starting lineup against Leicester and he got subbed on with a few others. I wouldn't read too much into it. Let's see how it goes against Astana first.

Juric was subbed on in the 75h minute and won a penalty. Luzern won 2-1. Highlights: http://www.blick.ch/sport/fussball/die-highlights-im-video-luzern-holt-dreier-zum-super-league-start-id5300283.html
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Sainsbury and McGowan started against each other, 90 minutes each. Sainsbury grabbed an assist and his club won 4-1.

Stuttgart's goalkeeping coach confirmed Langerak will be their first choice keeper ahead of Jens Grahl (27) and Benjamin Uphoff (22) for the upcoming season. Article is titled, "Langerak Is Stuttgart's Number 1". http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/2bundesliga/startseite/656509/artikel_langerak-ist-stuttgarts-nummer-1.html

For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

Aussies playing each other all over Asia.
Full matches in China for Ryan McGowan and Sainsbury against each other in the CSL, Sainsbury getting an assist in his team's 4-1 win. Adam Hughes also starting in the second tier.
Mark Bridge getting the consolation goal for Chiangrai United in a 3-1 Thai league loss to Matt Smith's Bangkok Glass. Smith also got a full game.
Leijer out with his red card suspension in Korea, Paartalu not in the squad because he never is.

Schmit, Bayer Leverkusen manager, reckons Kruse can play as a fullback. Quote:So came winger Robbie Kruse to some offensive actions - although the Australians in the first half - had to play on the totally unfamiliar position for him right in the back line - similar to already in Delbrück. There may be a model for the future? Schmidt anyway praised: "He has been doing this well - even in training." Kruse could certainly play as a defender: "The full-backs are in our system at much possession almost winger." http://www.rp-online.de/sport/fussball/bayer-04/bayer-04-leverkusen-die-offensive-kommt-ins-rollen-aid-1.6138224

Imagine Kruse as our right back? if he can sort of defend too then it would not be a bad option if he plays for his club side there.

Barca4Life wrote:Imagine Kruse as our right back? if he can sort of defend too then it would not be a bad option if he plays for his club side there. 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. Horses for courses. When we're not thinking of using the aerial route, Krusey in the front three on the right (Rogic in the middle) and Leckie at right wing-back (with three central defenders as defensive cover, thus relieving our wing-backs of pressure). When we're thinking of giving the aerial route a go from time to time, Timmy Cahill and Tom Rogic as strikers. Krusey or Leckie at right-wing back (with three central defenders as defensive cover, thus relieving our wing-backs of pressure). And boy is that playing to our strengths. We have Krusey and Leckie as right wing-back options (with less defensive pressure than our right wing-backs currently face) and Smith, Gersbach and Goodwin as left wing-back options (with less defensive pressure than our left wing-backs currently face). They can all play that role wonderfully. All, but Leckie, are offensively rather promising (and Leckie can do well in attack when he has space). That's five decent options for two roles (which will involve high work-rates). And there's less defensive pressure, thus it accommodates them as they're all (except perhaps Leckie) not the strongest in defence. And all have blistering pace. We could use that depth in a proper tournament very nicely in deed. Edited by quickflick: 26/7/2016 01:59:19 AM

I can see Kruse moving to Stuttgart. They've had a massive cleanout and need players. Leverkusen want Jese from Real so Kruse will be even lower in the pecking order.
