Some attendees are asking for refunds, claiming that the festival experience isn’t worth the steep price of admission if you actually have to experience it with a conscious brain: “I mean if I’m not going to be pinging on a mixed cocktail of whatever I bought from some guy in a tie dye shirt, while some bland electronic music makes me feel like I’m being swallowed by a neon whale who wishes me nothing but love, then I’d much rather not be here,” an anonymous man in a morphsuit told The Backburner. “I could be at home reading a book, I could sleep in a bed, I could use my own toilet. Right now all of those things sound like actual heaven. Instead I get to spend the next few days trying to barter for a goon sack with the 200 glow bracelets I brought with me.” Others at the festival were forced to face other truths once their initial supply ran out, such as Sandra Leichhardt, 27, who came to her senses suddenly aware that she was wearing a Native American headdress: “I was shocked to say the least. It’s 2015, everyone knows these things are offensive now, what sort of idiot actually wears these things to festivals? I guess the answer is me. Me after taking way too much acid.” http://www.sbs.com.au/comedy/article/2015/07/24/drug-shortage-forces-splendour-attendees-notice-festivals-are-awful?cid=trending Saw this the other day and lost my shit. Nothing like satire to checkmate the hipsters and scene kids. Have to agree with it really. Been to a festival twice without any chemical assistance: one was at BDO which was alright because The Killers and RHCP were playing and I was shitfaced drunk, the other made me realise how shit festivals were and how the vast majority don't go for the line-up - just blind, predictable, heavily waxed hedonism WFMB: Uni started this week, went to the first lecture for a politics course that I'll probs drop out of. This isn't what is floating proverbial boat, rather the chap sitting in front of me who clearly thinks that his shit does not, and never will, stink. He made a stunning point about Trump relating his ascent to regime change (aka something undemocratic), when a woman in front of him made the logical point that the election of Trump isn't undemocratic as people have willingly voted for him he responded in a very arrogant tone, "Thank you" and then sat in his chair in a quasi Monty Burns pose. He then kept answering the lecturers questions and queries with incredibly layered answers bathed in the glory of his magnificent lexicon and unwavering logic. Please note that on his laptop he flicked between a webpage featuring Paul Keating and classic 70's cricket of AB v the Windies

No one came to collect it, so it's mine now. I feel fabulous. This is so fucking creepy, all I can imagine is you sniffing it deeply trying to extract the scent of a woman. I'm not that weird m8. Are you sure? Because it sounds fucking weird. You have to learn how to interact with the ladies bro.

Either way, he then gets to boast about it in the vein hope his 'peers' online will then commend him on his actions, thus momentarily satisfying his attention cravings. Had he received the aforementioned smile from the girl he'd have probably claimed it was first base. Had the smile shown teeth, he'd have been adamant it was second base. WFMB: Just bought the missus' birthday present for next month. We bought a couple of prints from English artist Jeff Murray in Bath when we were in England back in January, and in our haste to get to one place from to another we lost them. A good 300 pounds down the drain. Needless to say we were both pretty upset by it. Anyway, I was smart and grabbed his business card when we were at his stall, and have kept it in my wallet since. I wanted to get the prints on mounted canvas, but that's a little out of my price range (1,000 pounds +). Anyway, got a print of his drawing of Europe. When it arrives I'll get it properly framed. Hopefully she'll be well chuffed. :)

Been wanting to clear out my massive dvd collection for a while now but could not be bothered trying to sell it on ebay. I looked around a bit a found a place called Cex, they pretty much take anything etc Dvds, Phones, Games, Blu Ray players, hell even old Xbox games and Nintendo Game Cube as well, you name it.  Now we are not talking big bucks for most of the dvds from the entire list I have (200+) the price ranged from 20 c up to 15 dollars depending on the dvd, which is not bad at all for lets face it old media that is very dated. They can give you cash or a voucher to use to buy from their store, obviously you get less for cash and more for credit, so I picked credit as I will just be updating my collection with blu rays and 4k movies anyway. The total came to around $560 which is damn good for media I will never likely watch again, but will just have to wait and see if I actually get the amount quoted.

WFMB: did my first ever City2Surf yesterday! Was absolutely unreal and the insane number of people there surprisingly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. A great vibe down there and a great run in general - I'm keen for next year already!
WAFMB: my birthday today! And the girls got me some absolutely unreal Dad-sandals that are dorky as hell but absolutely perfect and I doubt I'll wear anything else ever again
Buuuuut my body is absolutely #rekt from yesterday

WFMB: Kicking back with cold beer on a lovely Sunday Afternoon and playing a bit of barefoot bowls up the local bowlo. Fuck doing the City To Surf, I did my cardiovascular activity walking 30 meters back and forth across a bowling green with a schooner clasped in hand.

WFMB: First day back on Ritalin and I already feel so much more switched on. WAFMB: My ankle feels so much better. Still a bit tender and sore, but I'm coming along really well. Can't kick a football with the top of my foot though, too much force.

+xBeen wanting to clear out my massive dvd collection for a while now but could not be bothered trying to sell it on ebay. So just received a email to confirm they have tested all my dvds/games etc and they came to a total of, wait for it............................................ $1402.1  :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:
I don't know what has happened, but I was quoted $560 so yea, I'm not complaining.
