This is like the opposite of when someone goes to cross and they score a goal and pretend they meant it.

This shot went into row z and they pretended they wanted that.

‘Oh we wanted everyone to treat it as a joke and for it to be ridiculed so much we’re already scrapping plans to send it overseas’.

i read somewhere yesterday that the AFL has no plans to play this game overseas. wasn't this the whole point? so they could play in stadiums overseas, which are predominently rectangular?

Overseas? AFL?

I dare say they were just fans of the Bolts and Deadly clubs who were disappointed that their team didn't make the Grand Final.

I dunno if anyone could have a team, they have never existed before this day. Surely all just there for the spectacle...or car crash as it turned out.

I believe their motivation for creating AFLX was for the sole purpose of kicking grassroots football clubs off what few grounds they can get, so yeah, I care.

Really!
We each have our own code to worship if someone enjoys it just be happy for them.
There's enough stuff going on to be shit-scared of or to be really, really angry. AFL is a joke of a sport if that's how you want to see it. When it was invented ( probably the same drunks that invented golf - hitting a wee ball with a long stick, curved at the end, into a wee hole 200 metres away ). They didn' think of transporting it overseas.
We follow a sport where all you need is 4 jumpers and a ball. The English will claim that railway workers and other English manual workers transported the game and the copious little towns began the leagues. I'm probably quite wrong, but I don't care.

If the AFL mob want to do this & someone enjoys it who cares?
The way they carry on about the women's game shit's me though, anybody think they'd found out how to change lead into gold!

5AA?

Once every few years I go back to Oz to visit my mum. Her boyfriend listens to that shit. When you hear people like KG, Cornes, Rowe, Bickley, Leon Biner etc etc, you actually feel yourself becoming retarded

Yep SportsDay SA, which is an extension of the 5aa sports show..
basically paid mouthpiece of the AFL and Cricket Australia
Malcolm Blight suggesting AFLX for the Olympics , goes to show how much they are being paid to peddle the AFL kool aid..
As for 5aa , they cant even promote the local A league team. Years ago they were media partner of AUFC and one of the old owners ( griffin, gerrard , coopers etc ) was on radio being interviewed about something and made a comment on how poorly their media partner promoted the club
needles to say , 5aa arent a  media partner anymore

That’s a monumental lie it’s just for kids.

I love it when people have really bad ideas, everyone says ‘that’s pathetic’ and the final response after first saying ‘give it time’ is to try and pretend it's deliberate crap. Waste of money, but what do they care, they’ll just get another government handout. But kudos to the AFL for somehow inventing a time machine and going back to the early 90s to ask a compete bogan idiot for marketing ideas.

Good grief. Why do Australian sports administrators insist on treating the audience like idiots? Is it really what people want?

Many AFL fans are idiots.

My work trying to give out free tickets to employees. My mate and I had a good laugh at that email.

They were giving away medallion club as well apparently.

Meanwhile, if anyone wants irrefutable proof of how much of a piss take this thing is, I present this:

Kids love afl anyway.  Aflx is nothing more than a  obsessed afl trying for world domination . They took on nbl in the 90s . They are paranoid and it shows

Sure, but if the AFL can pretend that they are also interested in AFLX by fudging the numbers enough, they can start muscling in on our pitches by peddling bullshit stats to councils.

Kinda like how NRL swallowed up Touch Footy to use it's huge participation base to boost it's own grassroots.

They don't care if long term diehards watch this. They just want it to catch on the minimum amount required with kids so they can use it as a land grab against our grounds.

For the record SEN, an AFL dominated radio station has been taking the piss out of AFLX. Pretty much every caller about it has nothing positive to say.

I can't see this lasting long.  If a star gets injured then it will be over.
