Shit game!
Anyway, aren't all AFL Stars Druggies? Can't we ban them like the Russians please?

Is 2016 the worst AFL season in 20 years.
I honestly can't think of a less memorable year to date.

I honestly can't think of a less memorable year to date. One game separating 2nd and 8th is going to be memorable. I agree the regular season has lacked some defining highlights, but as a whole I think we will be rewarded with one of the most intriguing finals of all time. I agree finals has potential for a memorable September however the season is so stale at this point going into finals. I'm missing the A-League dearly :-({|=

Absolute mad man. I'm sure some here will have loved his style though. Thought Sheehan handled him well.

Absolute mad man. I'm sure some here will have loved his style though. Thought Sheehan handled him well. Jacko told it like it was. The only bloke in the whole code these past 15+ years who's had the balls to publicly voice what's gone wrong with the game (admittedly not everything I'd've brought up, but infinitely more than AFL HQ would ever own up to). I'd gladly buy him a beer any day of the week:cool: And he rightfully put Mike Sheahan - arguably the most pathologically-unlikable bloke in the Australian sports media - in his fucken place=d> Edited by BA81: 29/7/2016 03:46:11 PM

Jacko acted like a knob and just ranted for 40 minutes. It was a total car crash. There are plenty of old timers (Sam Newman included) who also whinge about the "modern game" but are at least respectful and can explain their point of view.

I too am a fan of how it was in the 90s however the incessant knee jerk reactions to things that happen that leads to a rule change has completely fucked the game. I'm a dogs supporter and swear the day we flooded against essendon in 2000 was the day that the game changed for the worse. Was a masterstroke but that created that rolling maul, 30 players around the ball deal i cannot handle. The game needs to be stripped back

+xRipping game tonight. If the doggies stay fit next year they win the flag, that simple. HAHAHAHAHAHA because they scrapped a win at home against a 12th place side?

Toyota signs on as premier partner for three more years August 31, 2016 1:52 PM AUSTRALIA'S premier automotive brand Toyota today extended its long-term sponsorship of the Australian Football League until at least the end of the 2019 season. The three-year agreement, which ranks among the biggest sponsorship deals in Australian sport, will extend Toyota’s position as the AFL’s premier partner to 16 years. Toyota president Dave Buttner and AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan announced the sponsorship extension at the official launch of the 2016 Toyota AFL Finals Series in Melbourne today.

Epic NRL wins battle of the codes, even after record audience for AFL in Melbourne. Really seems people are switching off up north. Their ratings last week in nsw and qld were abysmal. https://mumbrella.com.au/seven-sets-afl-record-footy-codes-fight-friday-night-battle-396197
