+x+x+x+x+x+xwhoscored don't seem to give points for pass accuracy or number of passes from what I can tell their formula looks something like this +0.2 for a tackle or intercept +0.1 for a clearance -1 for a mistake leading to goal or red card -0.2 if you get a yellow card or were dribbled around -0.2 for entire backline (and DMs seem to get a hit) for a goal conceded +1 for last man tackle/cleared off the line +0.2 for a chance created or an accurate cross/through ball/long ball +0.2 for a 15m dribble +1 for goal/assist/hit post -0.2 for being tackled/disposessed +0.2 for a shot on target also your points appear to decline for minutes on pitch that because pass accuracy doesn't mean shit to winning football games....it is of no importance, in teams winning games....people who talk about pass accuracy, are people who don't know what the key things that go to make a winning football player or teams (that most of people in football) the total number of passing is also not statistical importance what is in importance, is the number of passer the go past opponent player , with more important on the number of times passing the ball go past defense positions I kinda agree with your broken English. You can pass the ball infinitum, but the trick is to make forward passes that make a difference. Mooys role though is to be a link between attack and defence. If he cuts out a line with a pass and does it with the highest accuracy in the league that is one of the most important parts of his job Yes But Ardho makes a point, pass accuracy can be construed because it is all back passes, or sideways passes. Mooy excels because he has great vision and his forward passes are well weighted. so unfortunately whoscored statistics won't give us the full picture since he takes out so many opposition players with clever passes also he takes out so many players by clever positioning in receiving passes still whoscored is good for tracking the defensive part of his game True, Stats do not tell how a player played, really they are only exponents of extremes.

Decentric looks at 1v1s and eye of the needle passes as well as good first touches One thing stats will always miss though is off the ball work and positioning. You could make 15 tackles and miss 3 but get a massive whoscored rating but the reason why you are making so many tackles i syour poor positioning is attracting the attack down your side

(In fact I think they should get rid of the ratings). There are key passes and there are assists and thats fine. But there is no measurement of meaningful possession/passes or play-making. The statistics that they use have absolutely no way of determining the impact of passes. One player could have the same stats: say 70 passes and have no impact by along the back-line, while another player could make 70 passes and completely dominate with meaningful passing. the guys making $300 million plus a year betting on football into asia will disagree with you .. whoscored has done the best they could with the stats they have, (Live)...the next set, is to take what is a meaningful passing , and what is not , into there ratings

Jones starts against PSV. Big match.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

However let's not forget that a Dutch team beating ManU was also be them considered a pretty big deal - it was hardly an expected result.

Not sure if this was brought up but I thought I would look at Jedniak's passing stats for his last game at Villa and he was passing at 59% with only one tackle. Seems like a poor performance even by his past passing stats
