+x+x+x+xI have faith in the boys but not what they are being taught. what would you change? Well I'd like to know first and foremost why they can't hit a pass? Why are they lobbing it into Roberts when he's heavily marked? Kyrgystan pressed high and very proactively. They cut off passing lanes and put us under a lot of pressure. from what I've seen from this group they haven't had to deal with the amount of pressure before and I think it shocked them. They were clearly trying to pass the ball but were stifled and really struggled to build up play, so they resulted in other basic plays. Personally I don't think results at u-16 level are super important, more so the style of play and the execution, the basic idea being though that with good execution comes results. U19 level is a different matter but at u-16 you are still ironing out a lot of the important facets the kids will need when they become professionals so I'd much rather they don't win whilst progressing than winning with poor football. Idealy of course we want them to win and show improvement but work in progress... I'm surprised they haven't expanded rienced it though. How many games have these kids played?

Kyrgyzstan maintained them at 0-0 for 40 minutes and had a few good opportunities which they just didnt capitalise on. our best players and best tactics could secure us the qualification. dont think we'll beat japan with some serious luck but we're good enough to not get smacked. just gotta get past Vietnam now. anxious to see how this tactic of theirs will play out... not sure i would have chosen this one but then again im no coach :pinch:
