Gee that's not bad at all, outrating most NBL games.

Pretty good for the mv wsw game, it would of been great to crack another 100k, but the ratings are still holding up well.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xI'd rather just go to the pub than change ISP. Your not listening mate. You don't have to change ISP to watch the EPL on you TV in HD. Chromecast. Its a $40 investment at JB HI that let's you stream content (Netflix Stan YouTube and Optus sport) using your own ISP (in my case TPG nbn) straight to your TV. I pay $30 per month for a mobile broadband plan. Which I use when I run out of mobile data. And just watch the EPL on my 52 inch TV in HD of an NBN internet plan I already had. Its really not that hard. Believe me I am anything but a tech head. I had to look up ISP to know what everyone was crying about. EPL isn't really worth the hastle tbh. What about the a-league.? It is for me that's for sure. Mainly because most of fox is a waste of money and its really no that hard For you, yes. But the target audience for the A League is bored AFL / NRL fans October kick off, balanced, concessions, relegation from the top Given the choice between Fox - with all AFL games and securing more NRL games, or moving to Optus to chase the A League, the figures that matter will be staying put Are you being serious or having a laugh? So the casual viewer is not only a factor but the target audience on Fox, but does not even exist when it comes to FTA? I was being facetious idiot Not my fault the FFA are targeting a non existent market Facetious. Coming from a french word for Joke, for those of you who are playing at home. And by the way. It might not be the FFA fault either. All the shit they do which you hate is most likely forced on them by the very broadcast partner you are trying to favour. Fox is the one who wants a start in October and no international breakes and a balanced league with only teams in major cities and a biased FFA cup draw. Etc etc. You hate all those things but you want football to stay on fox. Your being as stupid as those US voters who want change so they voted for Trump. Going to Optus or Bein is the best opportunity we have to change things for the better. It should be just about the money but about the sport. And all you want to do is be Facetious. You're seriously giving Fox credit for the dumb shit the FFA have done to the game over the last few years? You know better than that

The other decision may not be directly related ti them but iam certian Fox have pushed thibgs like a top six. Unless you confess your name and position on the board of the FFA or Foxtel there is no way you can convince me otherwise. Everything else is just opinion and speculation so lets not bore everyone. You think football has to stay at Fox no matter what other people offer. Thats your opinion. I disagree. I want to see it go to the best partner. Thats not always who gives the most money. And for eveyone who says Fox created the Football fans and is the home of football etc. Etc. Let me be the first to say its not. I know of lots of people who talk football to me at work etc. and most of them dont have Foxtel.

Give me the top ten EPL games last year (if ten games actually got in the top 20 programs) and we can compare them to this years 1st 10 games ratings so far and I think you will have to admit. They are better. Overall more people ratings wise will see the EPL this year. Fox may not be the best partner. Until the deal comes out you are no wiser then me. If you want to close the book on optus (and Being by the way) you are deliberately being ignorant.

If we make a step forward on one platform, and a step backwards on another, critics will rightfully point out that moving to the platform which gave us a backwards step was needless Fox may not be the best subscription partner...but yeah...it is

Online. Fox have little presence in this area mainly because their foxtel go online thingy is crap and overpriced (much like their standard service) But both optus and bein have online and TV subscription methods to watch their game. I am not saying fox is the worst. But you can't prove that a move elsewhere cannot benefit our game either.

Fox Sports TV Ratings after 6 rounds:
12-13: 96k 13-14: 88k 14-15: 77k 15-16: 60k 16-17: 86k
So we have improved significantly on last season and back to where we were in 13-14k
For interest, crowds after 6 as follows:
12-13: 14.2k 13-14: 15.4k 14-15: 16.3k 15-16: 13.2k 16-17: 14.8k
Combined, it suggests a solid if not spectacular start to the season. 2013-14 outperforms with both higher TV ratings and crowds. And the 2012-13 and 2014-15 seasons outperform on Fox Sports TV ratings and crowds respectively.
The trend this year is all in the right direction after a bad season last year, but it'd be worthwhile remembering that we are still consolidating our 10 current teams and not growing so aggressively as to necessitate expansion. The year on year comparison this year will always be favourable given the low base from last year, just need to consider the longer term trend in setting expectations.

Not to mention the money that they bring into football from the women's aspect of football. Just to try offer an explanation to this, after going through public Australian Sport Financial Statements revenues tend to roughly be sourced as follows per club: 30% Membership and tickets 15% Corporate boxes/hospitality 15% Sponsorship 25% TV deal money/Governing body grant 15% Other sources (social clubs) There seems to be unrealised value in the W-League TV deal and W-League gate takings (4,000 people to the Sydney Derby). Ignoring the social club revenue that AFL and NRL clubs are reliant on, there needs to be a bigger push to sell W-League matches as a corporate event product (via better venues, possibly via double headers with A-League matches) as well as increased sponsorship value which is driven by LEAGUE wide metrics like attendances and viewers.

Hit the nail on the head. I think there needs to be more of a push for TV revenue from this because I bet they sold the womens rights for peanuts. It would explain why they dont give much to women. To save face on what they could have had.

This game wasn't as widely advertised as the home games have been on Fta.

+x+xHow were the ch 9 ratings? Didnt make the top 20 in either main or multi channels. Mediaweek hasnt reported them which is usually the only other option. Mediaweek seem stuck on the same tweet way back on Nov 10..... any idea if they have stopped tweeting various ratings or any idea why no more tweets are coming on anything... I noticed on the last tweet its got pinned in the top left hand corner not sure what that means unless this is were it stops...

The top tweet is a pinned tweet Like this forum it means it sticks to the top so it is the most visible. If you scroll the immediate next tweet you'll see all the tweets for the week Ratings that don't make the top 20 are seldom posted unless specifically requested. I don't use twitter so perhaps somebody can ask MediaWeek specifically what the ratings were as I am sure they have access to the full dataset only available to subscribers It basically means either everyone with FTA went to bed at 11pm or there is no truth to people flicking between 3 stations and choosing live sport

In this case its likely that the ratings both failed to make the top 20 (since they werent reported anywhere else), and being mid week failed to be posted by Mediaweek. best bet is to ask whoever does their weekend twitter account.

Thailand hardly sets hearts a flutter, and it was an expected easy win.
