MV/Glory - 19,500 (will probs be higher but will go conservative)
CCM/WSW - 11,000 (Should be big with the usual few k traveling down from WSW. Real buzz around CCM at the moment)
City/Roar - 10,500 (absolute min but if they win FFA this could crash past 11k)
New/Syd 12,000 (About par)
Reds/Welly 9,000 (enough said)

62k. Solid once more. Should see a spike in overall crowd now as we head into summer and the festive period. November (which is usually a quiet month) negotiated with a 14k average still intact.

We're about 150 short of the season 13/14 average after 8 rounds, but with a slight boost because of the Wellington home game yet to be played.

Hopefully we can get a 13k average for the season.

+ a Derby at ANZ + a Derby at Etihad + a Derby at Allianz still to come. Think we'll beat that which will make this season the highest ever with 10 teams.

Remember though that derby or no derby the averages will get tugged down by those 4k singing in the rain in Wellington and Gosford. They kill us every year.

Not really - we only had one game under 5k last year and it was that CCM boycott game on a Thursday.

My aim now is a 13,500 average this season. Would represent a huge leap forward.

I'm pretty disappointed with only 10 600 spectators given the high calibre of City and something like 11 000 City members.

Agree on the quality of City deserving of more support (as is the investment of the owners) but those 11,000 members will include stadium members, corporate members and 3/5 games members all of which aren't likely to turn up to every game. No club publishes stats but I'd say only about a half of those 11k members are with full season passes.

Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory - 16,017

Poor turn out for Victory. Has all the supporter's infighting taking its toll, or have the Greek fans already gone to South Melbourne.

As it is work xmas party time and I lost a mate to one last night, no doubt a few other people went to one as well, that could be the reason for the lower than normal mv crowd.

As I said in the other thread, this is the main reason for the 4k lower crowd last night. Zero to worry about there.

Must be a shit crowd from City again, FFA taking a while to fudge the numbers tonight.

Will keep on saying it, it's Christmas Party weekend in Melbourne and that's had an affect on both Victory and City crowds. They're outliers, don't get too upset.

Attendance seems standard for a City game to be honest.

Good crowd, putting City to shame. WSW fans probably helped a bit though.

It's consistent with most city evening games, IMO they are better off when they play Sunday arvos.

On one hand it's a poor crowd from City, but on the other, it's not just Xmas party time, as usually most work Xmas parties are on a Friday night, but they've also had 3 home games in a week, which is always tough to draw crowds to all 3 games. This time the middle game was the most important being a Cup Final for the club, and people would've prioritised, as that game was not part of the membership pack, and was an extra expense. Let's see how their crowds are at their next home game after the derby with MV.

Its definitely Christmas party weekend in Melbourne. Nevertheless always good to see CITY fail 10k yet again. What more needs to be done?
