Hearing that Adelaide are about the 4k-5k mark, but really that is only rumours from a contact and wouldn't be banking on the truth in it.

+xRumours that Vi$ion City won't have a high membership this year.Wanderers got 20,000 in March this year nearing the end of the season. WSW had 16-17 seated members in stadiums. There were ANZ stadium specific memberships for 5 games only. At least we don't have pet memberships like another club in Sydney. We need the A-League website to report memberships that will be at stadiums, not out-of-Towner memberships included. Actually TP previusly confirmed that pet and baby, toddler memberships aren't ever included in the tally. Only 5 game memberships and more are included. From all accounts considering how many of WSW members didn't show up last year makes you wonder whether WSW actually do include pets as memberships and they are getting turned away at the gate..

+xSouth Melbs should be in next season expansion or not 785 fuck me dead I know right. Basically the same attendance that Sth got in their last FFA cup game. I would be all for Sth to come in in place of Phoenix, but not sold on sth being the next expansion team in place of other bids yet. Their crowds are just not there imo, not unless it's a melb derby of some sort.

The Nix numbers are obviously not accurate, they are usually late at reporting.

+xLol at Melbourne City's membership count haha. Just under 500 from same time last year. I guess only difference being that they wont get the sugar hit bump with the Cahill signing. Reckon they will taper off at around 10k all up.

+xThe Nix numbers are obviously not accurate, they are usually late at reporting. Yeah probably 50 behind the realistic figure. Why are they behind in their reporting? Is that how they operate? Shoestring budget hence shoestring admin. Seriously reckon half the NPL clubs would be able to give them for a run for their money. Seriously squatting on a licence if Ive ever seen one.

Because Ticketek handles it and they're not very good. Most if not all teams undoubtedly outsource ticketing.

It's easy to inflate membership numbers - you just add in stadium members and corporate box members.

Why question a club on 1500 members who will average 8k crowds? I'd be questioning more clubs with 20k memberships with 10k crowds. Seems to be a popular way of reporting for Sydney teams not only in the a league.

+xWhy question a club on 1500 members who will average 8k crowds? 6,200 crowds last season and likely sub 5k this season. We question it because 1500 is pathetic.

Mid, FFA website says 4,180 ...
No doubt Mariners (like a few other clubs, Roar reported just over 4,000 in a members Mail two weeks ago) are holding a few back to introduce some false momentum as they push for sales in the next 4 weeks.

Club held a function for the kit release last Friday, and membership officer said as of the day before they had 4, 400, ... no idea how these things are reported by clubs... Nix figure even at 1, 500 looks like they are in for a struggle year crowd wise... I do wonder aloud how seriously they take metrics especially as a little bird told me they are one of the loudest voices when it comes to receiving more FFA funding...

The thing is NZ doesn't really have a history of joining clubs. Most of our professional cricket teams have membership in the dozens for instance. Also yes Rob Morrison is one of the main people in the owners association, the Phoenix have been propping up Australian football for years and things are looking very good for them in an independent a-league.

More excuses. Seriously you must be concerned. Is there seriously anything NZ are doing other than literally taking the spot of another potential club. You can talk about metrics being overrated etc, but on the park they are rubbish, they are barely giving other young aussies much of a chance, so what is it exactly they are doing? They don't even play attractive football. Then add the fact that they are last on corwds, membership and general revenue, the situation does look grim. The only good thing that has ever come out of the phoenix are the small but vocal crowds. That's the only thing I can think of.

Like wow nay mega wow... The Nix propping up Australian Football for years ... please you can't be serious... things are looking very good for them in an independent a-league..... really if P & R comes in and they go down a division can't see them ever getting back in... Rob Morrison is one of the main people in the owners association,.... who always ask FFA for more money but spends SFA on promotion to increase his crowds and constantly blames FFA for everything .... The truth is Frank Lowy promised NZF that he would look after NZ Football for letting us out of Oceania and into Asia... he promised a team for 10 years ... the debt has been paid ... tis time for an NZ team to carry their weight and not moan and cry their way to being included...

Spot on. I fully expect that the AFC will tell the FFA that the Nix have to be dumped in 2020 if Australia wants to remain in the AFC. Of course, the Nix don't need members since their stadiums are empty for nearly all home games so no need for memberships.
