+x+xstill looked like he took quite a bit of leg out It's the oft quoted law that isn't actually a law that if you touch the ball first you can wreck the cnt no worries Used to be. Now if you use excessive force it doesn't matter if you get the ball clean from front on.

+x+xAnother start for Piscopo Nice, where is he playing? found it, AC Renate. Top of Serie C. Their win on the weekend was against Triestina, the club owned by Mario Biasin and Anthony Di Pietro.

Just looked at a match report and saw Serie C now allows 5 subs but you are only allowed to stop the game 3 times so both teams made two double subs and a single sub.

Serie C is split into 3 conferences as well. Would love to see the NPL split up like that in years to come with a second division sitting above it.

Clever rule, I like it for that level.

mat ryan highlights from last night 1 maybe 2 world class saves
the first one he sticks out a reflex foot. The second he got a finger tip to a ball going accross him but then a defender clears it. Possible that it wasn't a save and would have gone in
had another decent save and a regulation save as well

+xRyan should have done better there, he makes himself too small. I get this feeling a lot with Mat(t) also. Brighton force playing it out too much for their own good IMO. Put themselves under a lot of pressure. Mat(t)'s distribution was IMO poor v Arsenal, the worst I remember from him. His wide backs were getting pretty frustrated at his sideline finders.

+xRyan beaten near post again, shit there's a surprise Bit harsh I reckon, Iwobi has smashed it past him, basically no reaction time. The shot flew past him at head height, so unless he's supposed to grow a few inches I don't know he makes himself any bigger??

Can't see it mentioned but Gersbach came on at left wing in the 24th minute yesterday and assisted their goal (it was an own goal but he put in the cross). He also have an interview about his season. He apparently had a minor hip injury around the last international break, he wants to play more and is disappointing he missed the latest squad. Goal @ 3:30

have not played enough this year Posted by Thomas Myren, October 2, 2017, 07:03
Alex Gersbach entered the unfamiliar role and lay behind the leadership against Sarpsborg.
"It was a pretty calm game for our part. We did not create enough chances. We should have held the 1-0 lead when we got it, but unfortunately we did not. It is disappointing, Gersbach admits to rbkweb.no.
- Were you tired after the battle against Vardar?
"It has been a few long months, so maybe it's a factor. Many of the boys who played tonight had played on Thursday. But it's no excuse: We should still have performed better than we did tonight.
- What do you have to say about the self-goal you provoked?
"I would like to have scored myself - of course. But the boys came and celebrated me. It was a weird feeling, but that was fine. At the same time disappointing that we could not celebrate after the match.
- You got the ball from Meling and added.
- It was great done by him. I would probably have made it even better with the shot or post - or whatever it was, but it's nice to be involved.
"Why did not you manage to keep the management?
"They had the ball a lot in the second half. Usually it is the period when we control the matches, create chances and score goals. That would not be tonight.
- How was it going to play left-wing?
- That was OK. I have not played a whole game there in a while - since I was 15 or 16. It was nice to be involved, come in and play in front of the fans again. It has been a month since last I played, so it was nice to join again. Whether it's like left-wing or leftback does not matter.
- You've had a slight injury?
"I had some problems with hip already before the previous international break. It did not get any better, so we decided to take a four-five day break. It's better now and that's good.
- You played last international match against Thailand. How was it?
- That was nice. We did not get the result (against Japan), which we needed to qualify for the World Cup, but every time you play for your national team, it's an honor and very special.
Are you disappointed not to join Syria ?
- Yes, I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest. I feel I've performed well in my last two international matches, so it's a little tough to be left out now. But I have not played here (for Rosenborg). I need to play regularly and good to be taken out on the national team. But to go from starting the previous match to not being in the squad is tough.
- Hopefully you can get more playing time in RBK in the coming month, after the gold is secured?
- I hope so. I have not played enough this year, as much as I wanted. Hopefully, I can start to perform and play more next month or two, before the end of the season. Hopefully, I can also come back to the national team in front of the next withdrawal.
