I think Valeri needs to be rested after all our players are back, has looked off the pace so far this season and really sloppy with the ball.

Muscat is a great coach who has made made mostly great signings. Which makes it odd that he sometimes is neglectful or doesn’t adrees key areas - ie defense a few years ago, central midfield last year and now squad depth.

So King Kenny has been named, as has Warring. Didn't realise we're without Theo also (young roos). Apparently Kenny didn't train today though so may be there only if desperate.
Unless we play someone like Milligan in Troisi's spot, with Sanchez and Valeri, with Ingham and Austin (*sigh*) almost certain to be on the wings, we'll most likely start either Hope at AM or Warring upfront (Leroy to play the other).
As exciting as it is to see fresh faces,  this is going to be a long season....

I really hope we don't, when he signed they were talking about him being out for at least a month with a foot problem. 

I really don't want to see him rushed in, do proper damage and miss a large chunk of the season. 

I think it's more a case of literally having no other available players to choose from.

The squad named has 17 players, usually its 18. I don't think Kenny will be on the team sheet.

Mitch can't cross and is not great at passing. So why not chuck him front, let him play the no.9 role and keep Leroy (if fit) out on the left where he can be more creative. Mitch has at least shown he's got a knack for goals (compared with Kosta and Jai at least) and he's very fast.

100% agree with this. If Muscat doesn't want to play a youth striker put Austin in and keep George on the wing.

Absolutely, Leroy simply must be in a creative role, whether wing of AM. Also have thought Austin would make a better striker than winger for a while. Has pass to get in behind and seems to get all his goals from poaching than anything else.

It would be interesting to see Milligan play a more advanced role, I seem to remember him getting forward more and taking shots in his previous sting with MV.

We're rightly shitting on Austin and indifferent on Ingham while praising George, but the latter's effort in the 14th minute with the former two free in a 3 on 1 situation was very selfish and didn't pay off, could well have cost us a win.

Yeah i recall that too. . Frustrating though i vaguely recall (ingham?) Going forward before that and was in a better position, shouldve taken the shot but passed. 

Its just not working, im glad austin in suspended he is just not working. Ingham will at least have a go and has the attitude to make it, he has a horrendous first touch though. 

Hopefully that game is the turning point cause this season has shades of the durakovic/magilton season... though that was a crazily entertaining year, we a are playing the worst football ive seen us play. 

Leroy had a great knock on to get it around the defender, should have let Austin run with it and got into a scoring position because it basically went to his feet but took it himself and also ignored Ingham unmarked on the far post. Great move followed by a poor decision, turned 3 on 1 into a narrow shot across the keeper.
