Happy with that. Such a large number of players who are captains. Room for flexibility with Mooy and Irvine being versatile.

Wright a slight surprise as Degenek had done well. Degenek is probably a tad faster but I hope Wright can bring his club form. Jurman has had such a rise. Jedinak and Luongo will hopefully be great. 

Interesting ruling permitting replacements for suspensions and injuries at that. Leckie and Milligan suspended and Kruse injured. Has Kruse even travelled to Australia or been cut? McGowan, Goodwin and Jeggo considered the replacements I guess. 

I hope Jurman plays on the left where he has played well not on the right. 
I don't like Wright, Jedinak or Behich being in the team.

Wright and Behich have been in great form for their clubs and Jedinak is necessary for a game like this

Both teams named 25 man squads so presumably 25 players were allowed not 23. 22 on the sheet plus Leckie, Milligan and Kruse.

Jedinak is not fit and both Wright and Behich have been found wanting for the Socceroos even when they have been playing well at club level.

If they play well, and I hope they do, I will admit I was wrong but I think they might struggle.

Would have preferred Troisi instead of Irvine tbh

We need an all out defensive midfielder to break up the play. Degenek has had poor games for the Socceroos too. Gersbach is too inexperienced for a game such as this, maybe play him at home

Line up about as good as I could have hoped for given the availabilities and situation.

Only got up in time for 2nd half but so far Italy all over Sweden. Cant remember ever getting to see Italy and Australia play straight after each other. Good start to the day so far....
