Nasty bobble... probably goes in on a decent pitch.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

He just needed to stroll further. Bloody hell. No way I expected the game to develop like this. We must maintain this control.

Fuck that was the moment. Juric should have done better.
Always have to be careful of these minnow teams at home. But I feel the Asian minnows are far better. Thailand would be very comfortable against these guys. Syria would be having plenty of joy.

+xWe're doing so well to create chances like these and blowing them all. This is my constant recollection of football played by Australia over the past 30 years. The only time we've ever been potent is when we play teams like american samoa.

When Juric can beat you for speed you know you're not quick.

+xNasty bobble... probably goes in on a decent pitch. Nah it was never going in, the front on replay showed the bobble barely effected the ball. It was just an incredibly poor shot.

+xWhen Juric can beat you for speed you know you're not quick. Gosh to have someone quick like Leckie on would be great. They are a slow team.

It looks a bit like the Hondurans have bigged themselves up coming into this game and now that we're dominating possession it's knocked their confidence.

Great work Luongo. Interesting comparison to Asian opponents so far. Asians just make it so weird to play against and this match appears a bit more what our pros are used to.

Man, we should be up 2-0 now honestly.
I'm watching on youtube with a Honduran commentary team. When the penalty was first called they were shocked but when they showed the penalty one of them said deflatedly "Sí, es penalti."
Hard to believe a penalty that seemingly everyone sees, even the ref, can somehow end up overturned.

That Risdon yellow was a bit dubious. Felt like it was purely to balance things out, was very soft. Im glad he's a WSW player now, but Jurman and Risdon are not international quality. Risdon did do well in the last game though in places.

Sainsbury brilliant at the back, not convinced about the rest of the defence.
