+x+x+xHonduras were perhaps so cocky and then got shaken up and seemed to have no plan. They normally get smashed away but drew in Costa Rica. Their win against Mexico saw them score comical goals. A really confusing bunch. Yeah, having had a look at discussions on this game, Honduras fans thought they could beat Australia because we barely beat Syria Syria were miles better than that. Agree with that just from watching the last 90 minutes. We really need to give our AFC opponents more credits.

+xbridges and moore going on about our great performance. i thought we were awful, dour. couldn't score in a brothel and can't make a decent cross to save ourselves. our gameplan is keep the ball and do nothing with it so the other team can't score. we create nothing going forward and our quality up front is so bad. The final ball/ finishing was poor but I thought the buildup play was excellent at times. Better than any recent away game I can think of.

You mus have been watching another game. Yes our finishing leaves lots to be desired but we created enough clear chances to win 2-0 at least. We pressured them in defence, so all they could do all match was kick it long (you could hear their own crowd moaning at how poor they were playing ... that was down to the Aussie pressure). Midfield ran the game, Mooy, Irvine and Luongo held the ball up brillantly ... some good combinations with the wingers. I'd say because we didn't really play any goal scorers other than Juric may have cost us some goals, but also may have saved some goals being scored. I think Ange expected more from Honduras, and personally so did I.

I'm not writing them off yet, I'm just going through the games they have played the past year or so and the name that always seems to be on the score sheet for them is Ellis and he is back from suspension on Wednesday night, we should beat them comfortably but if we get sucker punched like we did against Syria that will change everything. Even if we go 1-0 up the pressure is still on us to not conceed. The playing surface was horrible so I'm actually thinking Honduras can't play much worse then they just did, not interested in comparisons with Asia, this tie is alive.

Had enough ball and domination to kill the tie off today but because the team doesn't adapt to conditions in attack we blew a very good opportunity to pack bags for Russia.

+xNot a big fan of Behich but he had a terrific game, I'd be dissapointed if he didn't start in the home leg. Bailey Wright and Risdon our weak links today. Behich shows the benefit of playing week in week out for 2-3 years straight in a settled team in a decent league Now 26 years old so in his prime after continuing to improve and learn his position... has played his career well and for mine was excellent tonight and was a no brainer to be selected, and should keep his spot for the home game

I thought they played to the conditions well. You could see a lot of the balls were little chips rather than along the ground, also why crosses were aerial (usually over hit ... which may suggest they were expecting the ball to be heavier / ground at times).

Also playing on a faster pitch will suit honduras long balls and fast wingers. Pray ange doesnt play MacGowan. Need leckies pace for sure. Also would like someone else to try free kicks as Mooy has been rubbish. Jedi was good i was worried about his fitness. Gave the ball away and once just passed the ball straight out to no one but good physical presence against a physical opposition. Seriously need juric to step up a level so many wasted chances.

If a faster pitch suited them they wouldn't make their pitch a paddock. A faster pitch means the long balls require much more precision or the ball will go out or Ryan will just clear the ball easily. Not to mention it actually allows teams to play football and cut open their shaky defence.

Happy with the draw but it is disappointing because they should have won the game easy with the amount chances they had. The home leg will not be easy by any measure if we can not put our goals away.

In regards to the non-penalty ... I personally don't think it was a pen, neither was it offside.
I actually thought on the previous corner there was a bigger call for a pen (that no one appealed for). After the initiate clearing header an Aussie won the second ball in the box with a header and then taken out by a defender who had no chance of winning the ball. Have to see it again but on live TV looked a deadset pen.

One was the little dink from luongo, one was the ball across by risdon and the 3rd was jurics pathetic shot that he only got because the defender fell over. So really thats 2 good chances in 90 minutes of football where you have about 90% possession. thats really really poor. its awful to watch, this is the most unwatchable socceroos i've ever seen.

Juric had two good chances, one the bobble, and two the header, furthermore he over ran a cross that would 've been a tap in. I am sick of hearing "we created chances'', our execution in front of goal is & was woeful, and 1 away goal may sink us. I don't think it's going to happen that Honduras will score here as we looked far better at the back, but it will be a different game here, but we should have got more out of this game in Honduras. Unfortunately we just have no quality striker apart from Tim Cahill, and what happens when he retires?...Blame the FFA for their failed Dutch experiments and getting rid of Scheinflug and Blanco from our junior set up.....

We ask for an examination of the grassland that was not suitable for the Australian team, while Honduran players seem to be wearing shoes that cling to the long grass, so we saw Australian players fall during the game, while Honduras’ players are steady.

+x+x+x+x+xCouple poor crosses and you want to pull him for someone else who can't ever make a single decent cross? Who did I say I wanted on? Settle down mate All of our midfielders on the bench, can't cross better than Mooy The way Mooy is crossing, they can't do any worse. The way Mooy has played this game, they definitely will. He has been fantastic Don't get me wrong, Mooy was great, its just his crossing and free kicks that let him down.
