Honduras are taking this flight to Sydney. Not even close to leaving Los Angeles yet. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL839/history/20171112/0645Z/KLAX/YSSY

The flight back home will give us a big adv, Ange said at the start if we cant be world class on the field then we certainly can be off the field.
Back to the game, i thought we played really well but should have rewarded ourselves with 2 goals.
It seems like the move towards a one No.6 is paying dividends it allowed Mooy and Luongo more freedom to push forward, this game we played with wingbacks which we fair enough as the penetration was coming from the midfielders but a couple of occasions, especially with Risdon, showed we look dangerous out wide, i expect with Leckie and Kruse back we will look more dangerous getting in behind the Honduras defence.
Behich was also excellent but i would unleash Gersbach to run riot on the left, even Goodwin would be a good shout.
I thought Honduras was quite poor, every time they had the ball they always went long but that suited our back 3 more, our danger tends to come against teams that try to play through us, if that's the way they going to play then they have no chance to score us let alone cause problems with goal difference.
Juric again had a shocker in front of goal, finishing continues to be our Achilles heel, i have a feeling Cahill will start for this purpose as he's done it time and time again, but we need other goal scorers to chip in.
i have a feeling Cahill will start as well.If we play like that again in Sydney and have better composure in front of goal we will win.

i'd play the following at home
------------------------------------ryan------------------------------------------- -------------------sains-------wright-----jurman------------------------------ --------------------------mooy-------miiligan---------------------------------- ----leckie---------------luongo------rogic----------------------kruse------- -----------------------------------Cahill------------------------------------------
i think i got pretty close to predicting the 11 for the last game 2

Ange said he would go hard.So I expect a lotmof changes. He showed at the Confederations Cup and against Syria with Mooy on the bench.
So I wouldnt be surprised to see
Leckie Sainsbury Milligan Jurman Gersbach
Jedi. Kruse. Rogic. Troisi
Cahill
Mooy to come on if Gersbach gets injured Lol.
If its logical then
Risdon. Sainsbury. Milligan. Jurman. Behich
Jedi. Mooy
Leckie. Cahill. Kruse.
Rogic,Mooy ,Irvine and Luongo. can't all fit in and on a good pitch we need some pace. Most likely Lexkie will be LB and Rogic will play behind Cahill, along with Kruse. With Hondurans being tired it makes sense to pick the most energetic player to press and harass the Hondurans into mistakes.

Risdon played almost all the match, as did Behich. Team will be something like;
Ryan Degenek Sainsbury Jurman Jedinak (c) Luongo Mooy Leckie Rogic Kruse Juric
Subs: Cahill Milligan Troisi Behich

I like Juric and follow him most weeks in Europe but i'm getting worried he may become Australia's version of Emile Heskey. I thought his hold up play was excellent and played team mates into space really well. Good movement across the forward line and gave the team the ability to face forward that helped away from home. If we had some real goal threats in midfield his poor finishing probably wouldn't stand out so much. Cahill offers nothing in general play but fuck he still knows where the back of the net is. Juric has already scored more than Heskey though

Sure playing the robotic pass and stand still game/kill the counter as well as the over hit the free kicks game. I know that he can be good but i have rarely seen it for the roos. If we go all out at home starting rogic instead of mooy is the way to go. They are our equivalent of lampard/gerrard, thru just don't work together. However if we were to go ahead then mooy starts to be an option to come on. The mooy we watch for the roos doesn't even come close to the one that played for Melbourne city, let alone huddersfield.

Tim Cahill's 11 goals makes him equal 5th highest goal scorer in the whole 2018 qualification cycle. We need him to start.

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/world-cup-qualifier-inside-the-socceroos-lavish-midair-recovery-20171111-gzjh92.htmlThe moment the seat belt sign went off after take-off, half a dozen fitness coaches, physiotherapists and sports scientists leaped out of their seats and got to work on the Socceroos' recovery after their gruelling draw with Honduras on Saturday [AEDT]. They went straight to the back of the chartered Qantas flight where the rear seats had been transformed into a flying fitness studio. Two massage tables were fixed across the back seats where one by one, the players walked down the aisles to begin their treatment.

Did Honduras send their suspended players to Australia early?
Milligan surely plays the second leg because he has not travelled at all.

I am more nervous than ever. We should have won in Honduras, its that simple. We rarely keep clean sheets these days, let alone in 2 games in a row. So therefore we have to score a minimum of 2 goals. With our lack lustre finishing, we are relying on Timmy an awful lot to pluck 2 out of his hat, again!

Just an aside about pitches. I thought the pitch that we played on in Honduras was bad. Did anyone see the pitch for Switzerland v N. Ireland final leg to get into the WC? That was a mud paddock that was torn to shit during the game.

Any live sites in Melbourne for the game? Or any decent pubs with big screens showing it?

We all know the journos intentionally insert those errors right? They’re intentionally trolling.
I’d see Milligan coming in, but surely it has to be for Jedinak.

I am optimistic we will qualify. I was at the away game in San Pedro Sula (as per https://bitedge.com/blog/betting-my-way-to-russia-intercontinental-playoff-1st-leg-report/) and Honduras were rubish. If they play like that again I expect us to win 3-0. So Honduras will have to up their game but it’s the Socceroos who will have fresher legs and be more improved by players returning who were unavailable in the 1st-leg. As someone here said, the last time Hondo played outside of the Americas they lost 6-0 in a friendly against Japan. They repeated that scoreline this year when playing away against the USA. Also consider our superior sports science, organization and budget which I noticed in Honduras. I recon we qualify 4 out of 5 times. Australia were lucky to be matched against Honduras at this stage of qualification. The other possibilities (Panama or USA) would have been a lot tougher.
