With the squad he has, the cattle aren't the problem.

The big out so far is the disruption from internationals, but that doesn't fly anymore.

Yeah squad is fine imo, there is something severely wrong or lacking at the moment however.

Don't think its worth risking the ACL campaign as well as the regular season, pick one or the other because at the moment both are going to suck arse.

how many times had this team conceeded 2 or more goals in a game this season? Look really easy to score against, the ball movement is horrid about as worse as I can recall from a victory team.

It's deceptive because we have some good quality. We just haven't recruited well in a few positions. Also almost a quarter of our squad are DM's... Let that sink in for a bit. 

Can anybody update the following (I'm sure it has a few mistakes as I'm just going from memory)?
Out of contract at the end of this season: Berisha, Austin, Kosta, George,  Atihu, Milligan, Valeri, Sanchez, Broxham, Nigro, Williams, Donachie, Hope, Theoharus, McGlip, Waring, Thomas, Acton, Muscat.
Contracted for next season: Troisi, Ingham, Deng, Geria (also season after).

Can't confirm nor deny, but if Popa were to take over from Muscy he wouldn't have to do his clean out, it would already be done for him!

pretty sure Kosta and Williams signed for 2 seasons

Berisha has signed for another year, reportedly with a pay cut that could bring him under the cap next season.

About time tbh

I think all that win did was paper over the cracks. We are still entirely one-dimensional going forward, I really think we need to switch up our structure. Teams have figured out our 4-3-3, as Berisha is often times completely isolated at times and has to drop super deep to get the ball.

I think we should move over to a flat 4-4-1-1, George and Barba on the wings, but play Troisi almost as a second striker to link up with Bes. Berisha has pretty good link up play, I think having someone closer to work with him would suit him well.

Also, surely everyone else sees that George was cooked at about the 55th minute mark? He couldn't break away and gave away numerous fouls purely due to fatigue. I don't get why Musky doesn't see this and throw some subs on earlier. 

Yep, a lot more of the same old Plan A; reliance on wide play at all costs and isolating Berisha and laughably late substitutions.

A lot of the same problems remain, but three points is three points.

Yup, LG has got a good cross onhim but after 30 attempts and no pay off its time to change it up.

Any team with beanpole CB just have to stand there.

I'm just glad Millsy is on pen duties.

This is still the poorest Mvfc side I have seen in a long time,  no spark, a lot of possession at times with no end product. A lot of player's taking a wage, who are finished Kosta, Valeri, Berisha, Troisi, Milligan, Sanchez is a waste of a visa spot, a terrible signing,  Georges early promise is fading.

The defense is better than I thought it would be,  Geria has had his best season in 3 years, Deng is doing well, as is Williams,  not convinced by Nigro as a left back or Broxham. 

We will continue to win games, but when you watch a team like Newcastle and the positivity in their approach and the exciting signings they have made, it makes me wonder,  how victory couldn't find that type of player instead of going back to old former player's.
