+x+x+x+xRogic seemed to play ok, subbed off for McGregor @ 72' I really think that too much has happened and he should cut ties now, but should seal a move too a decent club. A team like Brighton could potentially use him well. A lot of counter action here. Even Hudderfield but they seem to play @ a fast pace. Maybe too fast for him to keep up with. He doesn't seem to be one of those high intensity guys who can sustain a press over long periods. However, the circumstance with his injuries and etc, seem to put him a position where no club would take him seriously. The amount of football he's missed could almost write him off as a football player and put him the Cahill retirement basket really so early in his career (end up being a gimmick player for some Gulf team). His injury record might count him out for most teams. Can't say he'd go to the EPL and with such a tough Championship season might put off potential suitors. I think the club should take a lot of the blame for his injury record, . The same club that managed and help his early injuries from potentially career threatening to getting decent game time? The same club that stood by him when he was almost a year out in total at a stage when he hadn't yet proved himself? The same club who hasn't actually improved his fitness. He still can't play a full 90 minutes

1st goal hit across the keeper not a tap in 2nd goal beat the keeper from a cut back not a tap in 3rd goal a tap. in 4th goal launches a rocket from distance 5th goal tap in 7th goal keeper out of play but hit from a wide angle. Harsh to call a tapin 8th goal beats the keeper from a cross not a tap in 9th goal headed cross not a tap in 10th goal beats the keeper 1v1 not a tap in 12th goal tap in 14th goal good turn and beats the keeper not a tap in 17th goal wins a header brings it to ground a beats the keeper not a tap in 18th goal a tap in 19th goal beats the keeper not a tap in
how many were on counter Maclaren, kruse and to a lesser degree leckie are all counter attacking specialists. If we played on the counter a front three like that could tear teams apart but maclaren isnt the guy you want if you are pinning an opposition back dominating possession and trying to find an avenue in tight spaces He's had his shot/s. Wasn't effective for Darmstadt either. He can not create his own shot. How many of those shots did he take more than 2 touches. Just keep shifting the goal posts until people couldnt be bothered arguing with you anymore Unfortunately it has more to do with the point I was making. He can't create his own goals and is an extremely ineffectual 'striker' against this thing called 'defending'.This is his creative ability. GOAL ] <------------> Jamie Straight in. Simply untrue, I could make a video of the countless times he has created his own goals with his time in the A-League, if I get some time I will do it this week.

+x+xRogic seemed to play ok, subbed off for McGregor @ 72' I really think that too much has happened and he should cut ties now, but should seal a move too a decent club. A team like Hudders would cringe to sign him, already have enough injury problems with major players. Just can't see a team like that taking him serious. I'm pretty sure some bottom Premier League teams could rotate him into the mix. The problem for him would also be whether that team got relegated then dealing with the fallout from that, could turn him away from the league/potential suitor. Not at all saying he's ready for that, but just saying plenty of good players start from the bench and rotate in/out vica versa. So say he did find a team in EPL, Bundesliga etc would have to be a team willing to take a bit of a gamble. If he was 100% healthy he'd genuinely help take a team up or help keep them up. Perhaps a relegation battling team.

I agree teams would be taking a gamble but a 6 million pound gamble is a lot for an injury prone attacker who hasn't proven himself up to the rigours of a European season. The problem being if it doesn't pay off, he could disappear which is bad for him and bad for the NT.

Agreed.
I'm also thinking about the style of play that he's played in for the last few years. Both with Celtic and Australia, the great majority of his matches have been against teams parking the bus. For this reason he has had to adapt his game and you very rarely see him attempt 1 v 1 take ons like he used to at the start of his career when he used to glide past players.
I think that this is one of his greatest strengths, and I believe it's something that he'll only rediscover if he plays in a good counter attacking team, much like leckie. I can really see him breaking games open playing on the counter, but we simply don't see much of it.
Let's see in russia though, because we'll almost certainly play this style. I really hope to see him shine

It could be, but a different system, different coaches might actually train him harder. All we know for sure is he has stagnated at Celtic, maybe he reached his ceiling or maybe he needs a more competitive league to push him and too improve.

Good starting for Newcastle U23
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+xSurely winning titles every year after a while might start to feel easy and naturally his hunger can drop.. obviously European football but they haven't gotten that far in Europe lately... Well they had Rogic at full strength and a full team at full strength , Dembele, Griffiths, Sinclair, Brown, Toure, etc etc.. and couldn't keep up in the Champions League. Shows just how fragile Scottish football is, but more importantly how shallow their 'talent pool' really is. I mean if Armstrong is where they're @ talent wise they will have definitely have issues in UCL && Europa. Domestically, who gives a shit. No point him hanging around to win that shit all over again.

Halloran got the first half. Duke got the final 20. Degenek and Langerak with full games. Is that every player we have in Japan?

Aggression to the referee: Pennington of Cagliari
For the trip to the field of Pro Piacenza, Bernardo Mereu will have one more player: for the remainder of the disqualification remedied during the last season of the Primavera, when he was wearing the Cagliari shirt, the FIGC has pardoned Nicholas Pennington, who was supposed to remain out until October 31, 2017. The olbia midfielder, class '98, will therefore be available already on Sunday, for the commitment in the home of the Emilians valid for the sixth day of the Serie C championship. www.unionesarda.it/articolo/cronaca/2017/09/27/calcio_la_figc_grazia_pennington_il_centrocampista_dell_olbia_dis-68-649102.html

Gianluca Di Marzio :: Cagliari, Giulini: "We will take 3-4 players: outgoing Melchiorri and Capuano. Farias? Via only for unmissable offers"
Seems more likely he could play for us tha Italy. It looks like he has played in every game available this season after his suspension. Nicholas Pennington has now played over 1300 minutes in Serie C for Olbia. There is no younger Midfielder to play as much Professional League football in Italy. That is despite the suspension at the beginning of the season.

I once heard an italian say seri c was better than league 1. I'll let others decide if thats true. But its a pretty good level for a young age

They're all good players. I think that the average age of Debut in the Serie A is running at close to 24, so they've all got a while yet before they should be at the top end.

Yes, through all of the divisions. I mean the Professional Leagues that is Serie A, Serie B and Serie C. Yes, this Season. shows how difficult it is these days to cut it in italy perhaps that shows piscopo is doing pretty well too I watch the 3 of them on Wyscout. Piscopo, Cleur and Pennington. They're all good players. I think that the average age of Debut in the Serie A is running at close to 24, so they've all got a while yet before they should be at the top end. What's Pennington's background? i saw his wiki that he's born in Rome? Does he have Australian parents or is he mixed? Interesting background i wonder if he's good enough to play at a higher level in the future.

Shows even Ikon has a couple of years before he is seriously considered for a Serie A club. It's an Average. Nicolo Barella has probably been the most highly rated young Italian in the last couple of years and he became a regular in Serie A at 20. Even he was playing at the bottom end of Serie B with Como at 19. He was playing alongside Brillante.

He spoke well with a Italian twang.
