I get what you mean but I think more germans look at bringing Bundi 2 players up where as in the EPL seems a lot of them look to Belgium and Netherlands for players. Take Brighton for example.

i'd probably put money on the fact that more new players to the EPL would come from their second division than any other league, every season.

Yeah theres was heaps in the chelsea vs man city game like where there was 2 english playera on the field

how many in from the B2 in a dortmund v munich game?  anyway im not saying it's at the same level and this is derailing the thread. the biggest hold up to in the EPL are obvious.
1 - the english league has the most money so it attracts the most foreigners.
2 - for the most part english players are not as good as german players.
3 - there are a lot of foreigners in the second division and this discussion wasn't about foreigners vs local talent, it was about how many players get promoted from second division. and more players come into the EPL every year from their second division than any other league. being in a newly promoted team is pretty much the only way most australian players are going to get into the EPL with our current stocks and the lack of league in australia. whether that is going up with them like jedinak or mooy or being picked up by them on the cheap like ryan.

Which brings me to another point. When Jedinak was in the EPL, he would have been good enough for the current Arsenal team and is just the kind of player they are currently lacking.  I dont know if he has it anymore. I haven't watched him and he has missed so much football.

Has anyone been watching Jedinak this season?

I know it's not the point, but is it not at least in part due to the fact the epl promotes more teams(3) than most leagues ?

1. So your saying it has the most foreigners or not? Does that not debunk your theory that more get promoted if the sheer fact that there are significantly less english players in the the EPL than the Bundesliga, its the reason they can send a B team to the Confeds Cup and still dominate.

Jedinak is not a ball playing DM - hes a sweeper/hardman its the REASON he didn't go to arsenal all those years back lol? You've seen arsenal play right?

They have promotion in Germany too mate. Reus came from 3rd div.

Maclaren starting
Milligan, Amini and Caceres all started
Pasquali, Carter on the bench

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Anthony Carter came on in the 54th minute for Benfica B against Académica. They were losing 2-nil and went onto lose 4-nil.

The other Aussies in Portugal (Mabil, Ansell, De Niese, Trajceski and Ilir) all play on Monday morning.

Ansell has been in and out of the squad for the last few weeks, De Niese hasn't been in the squad lately despite being a regular before the last two weeks and Ilir was on the bench last week for Gafanha after recently signing with the third tier club. I expect Mabil and Trajceski to play.

McLaren just scored a good goal.

Had barely touched it prior to that. Has been in some good positions but left unused by his team mates, or turned it over when given the ball under pressure

Viduka would do th@ type of close control under pressure nearly every game.
Hopefully getting a taste of it will spur him on in the big leagues.
Understanding he can't just run around like a seagull in these big leagues
Cracking shot from distance and yep keeper got a touch, unsure it would have gone in though, looked a little high still off the bar more than likely ricochet out.

Dogged determination, JMac does have, needs to understand this should be normal , natural attitude in the big leagues. (well SPFL, big enough hype wise)

Urawa are struggling early in the j-league, near the relegation places. Currently down a goal against newly promoted Nagasaki. Could help Nabbout's chances of a first team place.
