yellow - green is just about the worst color combination imaginable. I know they call it "gold" to make themselves feel unique, but it still looks shit.
Whoever came up with that idea should have been beaten with a big stick.
Instead they could use blue - white - red, representing the national flag And red - yellow - black for the away shirt, representing the Aboriginal flag

Green and Gold have to stay! From primary school I remember they are colours of the wattle, our national floral emblem. We've had them for 100 plus years for most national teams and there's no need to change them. Yes I know the first kit of our football team was sky blue and maroon, but we've had green and gold for at least 50 years. No need to change. Just make sure we get rid of the yellow shorts. I've said it before, but I'd love to see a one year only sky blue kit with maroon trim for the home kit in the 100th year celebration of our national football team in 2021-22. Would love to see a mock up of that kit.

The kit must always be green and gold imo. Blue and maroon don't represent the whole country. Even worse would be the flag colours which are the colours of the union jack.

Adidas just released a whole lot of national team kits. Mexico World Cup away is superb. Wish we swapped to Adidas as our supplier.

We are literally the last World Cup team not to have a kit now.I can’t take the suspense to see if we get green shorts back. P.s. This is definitely my favorite of our kits:

Agree that last kit is one of the best. I’d like to see the same thing but with a diagonal stripe for the AC.
Is that blue & white from the game against SA in 2004/5?
I know red, blue and white are the colours of the national flag, but they are also the colours of about 50 other countries. I also get that the aboriginal colours represent the original inhabitants, but they don’t represent 99% of the country. Green and Gold it is. It’s recognised by everyone as the colours of our national teams.

+x+x+x+xCan you mock up a 100 year Socceroos anniversary kit? Australia Vs New Zealand 1922 It was perhaps inevitable that when Australia took the International field the first games would be played against New Zealand. In June and early July of 1922, Australia played a series of matches in New Zealand of which, three were full internationals. The first of these three matches, played in Dunedin before 8,000 spectators, was the first ever that an Australian Soccer team had played in the National colours. When we say ‘National Colours’ one is bound to visualise those first Socceroos in the familiar Green and Gold. In fact, it was nothing like that. That first National team was in a light blue strip. The Green and Gold was not adopted till later. Team : Carrtwright, Fisher, D. Cumberford, Gibb, Shenton, Doyle, Dane, J. Cumberford, Maunder, Ward, Thomson. http://www.ozfootball.net/museum/index.php/archive/129-australia-vs-new-zealand-1922 AU in light shirts, NZ in black. The think band on the socks was maroon (and light blue) Can you use light blue as written instead of sky blue? Hey sorry about the late reply, been a bit busy, but I've done some mocks, I've been thinking about doing some of these for ages, but wasn't 100% on the colours. I've done a couple of different options first just with a plain light blue, and the second inspired by a slightly later version with a gold V (and suspiciously looks as if it might actually be the one worn in the picture, only one players' shirt front is slightly visible, so might be possible?) For the Kiwis, nice and simple
Enjoy!
Great job. This or something like this should become available in 2022 imo. I also think we should play NZ before the 2022 WC, if we qualify. Or is the March dates. I wouldnt mind such a kit at a WC however would understand if we didnt. Should be made available for fans though. Cheers mate! I completely agree, keep in mind if Qatar keep 2022 there'll be plenty of time in June to play a centenary match, would be pretty disgraceful if it didn't happen, Rugby League did it well, and it looked alright
I'm biased but I'd love it as the alt kit. I'm also wondering how a Green & Gold version of the butcher stripes would look if anyone wanted to mock one up. Might be a worthwhile compromise between the game's Australian history and where it is now.

Gave it a go, here's a few different options on the hoop thickness/variation for something along those lines..

Just for my two cents, there are plenty of teams playing in blue, red and white for my liking, home shirt has to have green and gold, and tbh getting a bit sick of the navy away kits, would love to see a return to green, or black like some my mocks a few pages back.

so we find out next Thursday apparently.
Does anyone know if FIFA are still enforcing that ridiculous rule regarding shorts colour that made us change to gold shorts? other teams seem to be reverting back to their traditional shorts colours, which makes me hopeful we'll be returning to green.

+xyellow - green is just about the worst color combination imaginable. I know they call it "gold" to make themselves feel unique, but it still looks shit. Whoever came up with that idea should have been beaten with a big stick. Instead they could use blue - white - red, representing the national flag And red - yellow - black for the away shirt, representing the Aboriginal flag What about a combination. Navy Blue and Green with Gold accents. Can anyone do a mock up?

I don't work in the industry, but I've been a long-time hobbyist, but I'm building a portfolio and hopefully I can make something from it,, are there any pro designers on 442?
