+x+xMatias, Mitch, Nigro and McGlip released. Surely Nigro has another club lined up? Why else would you release him? must have signed elsewhere. so would I if Broxy was getting a game ahead of me. I'm disappointed, but hope he excels elsewhere. But what is just as disappointing is no announcement that that Ingham has been released. Surely he's not being retained? Ingham is contracted until the end of next season. Him and Kosta are currently our only wingers.

Ingham is contracted until the end of next season. Him and Kosta are currently our only wingers. Ingham is servicable when we need pace off the bench. I'm still hoping Theoharous doesn't leave us or gets loaned back to us.

+xWhy wouldn't you want him back? He literally dominated the league 12 months ago. Milligan would walk straight back into our team as well, so I'd open him back with open arms. Proven players > unknown commodities. If you have the opportunity to get a Rojas, you get a Rojas. We could get another George (debatable as to if he was better than Rojas) or we could get a Beister. Not sure why you'd take a chance just because it's something new. With Bes looking like leaving, you don't want to be blooding in half 3/4 of a new forward line at once. Proven players (...several seasons ago). IMO we played once when Milligan left. How long can we keep the too and fro with players going before we inevitably have to dive into the "unknown commodities" bin? Maybe we just need to scout better. Less Max Beisters, more Leroy Georges' -PB

Valeri i believe was one of the highest paid under the cap. not a massive surprise. we could effectively have 4 visa spots available next year if Berisha also leaves. a left sided winger, a striker, an AM and a CDM.

If Berisha stays on and is on 500k, 125k would be out of the cap. If Valeri is on 200, 50k will be out of the cap. If Broxy is on 150k, 75k will be out of the cap. If Thomas is on 200k, 50k will be out of the cap. that's 300k saved (10% of the cap), which could get us a decent visa player

Gives clubs more incentive for clubs to tie players down to longer contracts if the loyalty exemption is uncapped, especially if they can get generous cap exclusions. It'd be a band-aid solution to the entire salary cap nonsense, but a positive one, not to mention that, as Feed_The_Brox mentioned, if a club can save anywhere up to $500k in the cap thanks to loyalty exemptions, that's a pretty handy visa player, which in turn leads to a better competition yadayadayada
