At least we look like a footy team tonight...promising. Slow ptb, dumb penalties and 44% possession the problem.

I feel more proud of the team in that half of footy than many others. Still vulnerable to inside passes or angled runs but i see a lot of communication out there and especially from Lewis on debut. Also like the improvement in Smith.
Been a long time coming.

+x+x+xThanks for setting this up folks Glad you managed to find it. Still a fair few missing. I can't even remember them all until I see the names. I'm just as bad with my own relo's, simply can't keep track of them all. More posts from me in 1 day than a typical quarter yearly. Whatever it takes to make it right, then I can fade back to obscurity again. See how long we can keep posting link to here on BDP tips thread to keep it at top of page... actually dman your post got me here so my sincere thanks to you too mate

Told you Lewis is a half. That's what you want to see pride in the jersey. Everyone played well led by Jackson and Klemmer.

One of our better victories of the past 5 years that. Dawn of a new era. New team, new BDP.
Very proud of that performance. Our defence in the second half was as good as i have seen. Players in numbers, sliding at the right time, putting pressure on kickers, chasing in a line and Hoppa sweeping behind the line of defence - Slater style.
Defend like that and we can frustrate teams into errors.
The attack also impressive. All tries were constructed. I repeat. Constructed. Steve doesnt know what that means but for those that do, it means REAL hope.

He played well..on the ball all the time, which we have been crying out for. I wanted him 7 but probably best at 6 because JMK is a bit of a hog. I hope Brown stays in FG...gives us stability. I got the sense that the forwards knew their job and had a bit more faith that the backs could do something...which they did. Pay got it right tonight.

All you can ask for is everyone giving 100% effort and they all did. If they do that next week I will be happy. We are due a great game at Belmore surely.

Vallo, watch what difference it makes to have Klemmer pass before the line when the defence is starting to converge on him.... he creates space and opportunity.

Damn, damn and double damn...that was good. Still hard to comprehend a victory of those proportions. Marki...I'd share an ice bath with you today. Haven't watched the game as yet, only the highlights of which that pass to Dutchie for the first try was pure class.. Theories abound no doubt...and having not watched the game I can't comment too much on it but I do think shedding M'bye was possibly one of the catalysts. Good bloke no doubt but all the money talk is not the best for a team to be reminded of. Thanks to the intrepid Rod aka Bloody Nora...I did send an email to Zef but do't know if he still has the same email address...it didn't bounce back.

Anyone else notice that as soon as they sold off the bdp to the punters we started to lose and our club went down hill.
As soon as we leave the punters, WE WIN!

Nora you really are the leader of the b*stard tribes of The BDP, you have lead us to sanctuary on at least two occasions now. I have no doubt that one day in future all the scattered tribes of The BDP will again be united and you will then lead us to the promised land.
If I sign up here for no other reason than to follow my shepard then that is it a damn good reason.
Anyway, we won a game of football!

+xHello....Douglas??Dan??HD?? Hey Villi....good to see the old tragics (thanks to BN) found a new clubhouse. With a win, and a new home, when we thought we were doomed on both counts, lets keep the banter but not the nastiness. Sure hope HD ...our voice of reason ....finds us and decides to continue along with those others who haven't logged on as yet.

Once again, thanks to all who've made the trek over to this new promised land of debate and discussion.
I just watched the replay of the game and I have to say, this team just absolutely blew me away. It had everything we have all been craving for many years. Energy, synergy, enthusiasm, strength, unity, youthful exuberance and above all, pride in the jersey. Klemmer was outstanding, Reimis, Rhyse, JMK, Dutchy, Brown... on it goes. What a transformation and the boys gave it there all gave some pride back to their coach as well. Well done. To think, all this time there was this hidden talent squirreled away in regies and one stubborn old fool would not open that cupboard to have a look what was inside.
Yes, we are still underdone and can fade in and out of concentration, but FMD, what a turnaround considering the problems and rot that has set in in past seasons and this one in particular. So, I look forward to the talent coming through from the juniors and whomever the talents scouts can conjur up for us as the seasons progress.
Onwards and upwards with the rebuilding of this fine club.
