Forever talking down Foran? Don't think so. Just stating the obvious that it doesn't look like he will ever be as robust as he was. So therefore we will be nursing him somewhat and protecting him defensively to keep him as effective for us on the field.

I am talking about is recurring back, shoulder and hamstring problems.

That has nothing at all to do with his freak training accident you mention.

Of course Lewis can play centre. I never disputed that or doubted it. I was just suggesting perhaps his best position for the team (and the position he prefers to play) was in the halves.

If Cogger and Foran are top of their game, then Lewis if re-signed will definately have to play centre if he wants a fg spot...no question.

Funny Foran never had recurring shoulder or hamstring problems this year and was never "protected". It is well known that he has a back problem but not once did he take a backward step. Again I was one of the critics of his signing and I will admit I was wrong; Hopefully the long term programme the Dogs have for him will see him have an injury free run. Sounds like you read the Kennel a bit too much.

I never said we were protecting him this year..it is obvious we weren't. He started off well but as the season wore on he became more and more busted....and next year fans could see that next season we would try to protect him a bit more to help him last. Same as we are doing with Bmoz. I would love to see him at FB but it is generally thought that his body couldnt handle it. It has nothing to do with Foran taking a backward step.

All about getting the most out of a busted player.

Foran is hundred per cent the worst signing of the debacle of the past two years .
The proof in the pudding is in the zero interest other clubs have had in him in the recent transfer frenzy .
At least Woods and Mbye had suitors in our hour of need . Foran not even a sniff and I suspect even if we paid half his wage nobody would be interested .

Foran was a gamble. .. the kind of gamble desperate men take.

But while there are a lot of injury issues to manage,  there is no doubt that Foran can play makes smart decisions and puts in when he is on the field.

We can't offload him as no other club is desperate. ..

But we may still get something out of him....

In 2019 we should rest him when on a short turn around or at some other suitable time...

If a desperate club with a lot of cash turns up ... then think about it then.

Hard to believe that Dan so castigated me when I was against Foran's original signing yet the guy has not done anything wrong yet everyone seemingly wants to throw him under the bus. About Moses & Woods I say who?? But Foran can deliver a premiership.

Foran may not be the X factor he used to be but, his knowledge will be invaluable to the pups in the team. I won't make any comments regarding players as what was done is yesterday's news and we just have to deal with it. How we deal with it is the Coles $64,000 question. (Apologies to all the youngsters that have no idea to my Coles reference, only us oldies know what I am on about.)

Balso, I am touched! But I still beg to differ. I still think there was a lot of made up press about our catalogue being put up on ebay. I doubt
it was open slather no matter how much the papers say it was. Now, I will preface remarks about Kieran by saying he possibly is not a long term prospect but I also feel that there were no favours done in playing him at half back. I think Aussie -Kiwi tests were strong evidence that he needs to be at 5/8. Now there are those who would say any difference is a subtle one and they are probably right but enough to state there is a difference. Perhaps there was too much focus on him but I thought he played well. Maybe he would be the back to get a rest during a game. Maybe the opening try of the year was not typical of the rest but it showed there was class personified. I suggest it is a matter of wait and see. I may be wr...wr...wrong (hard to say) but not evident in what we saw this year.

Last night was a hard result especially as nominated fat pr*ck was the scorer of the winning try but I still think the baggage of M'bye was one of the biggest retardants of the year. His ability to talk the talk but not always walk the walk must have caused some angst among his teammates especially when the monetary figures were being passed around. Woods was slightly different. I guess next week will show if it has just been a flash in the pan.

Leilua is now 3rd on my hated players list.

Nancy.... how good was it just to see Lewis kick the sh1te out of the ball for touch each time we got a penalty.... unlike MbyeHe would make us an extra 15-20mIt’s them little things that the new brigade are bringing to the table each week

Spot on villi.
Even my 6 year old son noticed it.
On one ocassion, he kicked a penalty from our 20 and near midfield and got it past halfway and my son yelled " oh yes, its halfway"

I don't think he is to tell the truth, i think he can be, but I don't think it's his best game.

I'd rather him... well, firstly FIT of course... and if that happens, just playing for himself and his runners. I don't want him thinking about field position or the tackle after the next, I'd rather him just playing eyes up in the now with someone else doing all the planning and talking.

We asked him to run the team, and he will, but there'll always be someone more suited. And he'll always be more suited playing for himself and his supports without worrying about all the rest.

Sounds like a 500k (tops) player zef.
Is he a 500k player?

I don't know what you're asking there Marki, nor how it matters in context.

What matters is he's a contracted player and he's gonna get payed what he's owed no matter what you me or anyone else think he's worth.

Are you saying we don't pick him in NRL because you think he's over-paid?

Tony the more obvious move is to shift Holland back to fullback.. it isn't unknown to play a player who is a good attacker and a weak defender there....

From the few times I have seen Holland at fullback he has been impressive in that position....

OK he might stuff up, but knowing if he can handle that position may help planing for 2019.

Ceruto might not be in the top 30, he was impressive last year, but hasn't been that good this year, from what I have seen.

All things considered, avoiding the spoon, continuing to improve and giving young players a run is all we are aiming for this year....

You get a sense of where we are in the pecking order ... so try a few things as we have little to lose...

2-3 wins should see us avoid the spoon.

Most likely are the Tigers, Eels and Warriors.... of these, beating the Eels is critical...

We may come to regret dropping that game against the Raiders, we should have closed that out...

A bit more coming out regarding Bmoz to Dragons story.

I can't believe we would knock it back.
One because of the money we need and second we are always bending over backwards to let players go and not stand in their way of a good deal. Various examples..insert name here.

There wouldn't have been a fan backlash I don't think....it would have made it easier to keep Jmoz financially and emotionally cos his bro gone back to St George....got me stumped :)
