Interesting article from Ray Gatt.
https://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/football/capital-football-reject-lowys-lackey-tag-in-congress-battle/news-story/cf7d8420929c5f7e140fa4d1be5a5991
I wonder how much of what the Capital Football chairman says is true, and how much is political BS?

Agree, it will be more along the lines of this:
- Current FFA votes down the proposed changes
- FIFA says they will install a full normalisation committee
- FFA says you can't do that because of X,Y & Z Australian Laws
- FIFA suspends Australia
- Everyone Loses

There will be no court. Why would FIFA waste their time and resources in court over this. FIFA are not effected if Australia doesn't want to play be their rules.

At that stage there would be near 100% disapproval rating of the FFA for letting the game get to that point

I've read that type of comment regularly on here but what parts of the Crawford Report did the FFA not implement?  Separate A-League and different membership structure I know about.

the independent soccer review committe specifically called for voter representation for women, futsal, referees and players/coaches. And now they are slamming the CRWG which proposes direct voter representation for women which the FFA didn't ever implement. They're not 2 years behind FIFA's demands to broaden representation, they're 15 years behind their own country.

Frank sort of, you know, had a blank canvass to work with and didn't come close to forming FFA in line with the Crawford Report recommendations. So if he were to cry that the new congress doesn't do so, he could perhaps get fucked?

This Report just hands the game over to the Professional game.
The Crawford Report had a better congress proposal.
Don't understand why the PFA has such a large say in the game.
Don't agree with the way Women get a say in the Congress, because they really won't get a say the way its structured.

Very disappointing.

I have no idea why the PFA keeps 3 members on the Women's Council once its more fully developed in fact I don't know why they have 3 in the first place.

Why they don't have a Women's Committee in each State Fed and each of the Chairs of that Committee be on the Council along with Professional club's and Professional player's reps plus SIG reps I don't know.

This is my theory. I reckon there are some pretty dark and scary skeletons tucked away, most likely having to do with the WC 2010 bid team. Perhaps some real evidence proving that Lowy senior acted unlawfully with Government funds. And I rekcon Lowy junior has made sure that FIFA is aware of this, hence the semi secret trips to Zurich to meet with Infantino. And as FIFA would like to avoid further scrutiny surrounding the past and the wc bidding fiasco, has probably given the lowys as much time as needed before they can get rid of any remaining evidence (I think legally they have to keep certain doc on file for a certain number of years). Thus FIFA is taking the slowest possible approach in the hope that FFA end up getting their way to avoid having to act, or chewing up as much time as possible until the Lowys are in the clear.

Don't be ridiculous.

The FFA's books are audited.

There would be internal control measures in place that would make it highly unlikely that anything of the nature mentioned could happen without complicity.

They've already been taken into account.  CRWG have created a solution that fits FIFA's franchise rules.

If anyone on the FFA board don't like FIFA's rules they need to change FIFA's rules or walk away

The irony when the FFA enforce their rules on the Franchises is delicious.

And if the proposal doesn't comply with FIFA "rules" what do you expect FIFA will do?

There has to be a more sinister reason why they are pushing so hard. Are they that stubborn to ruin Aus football?

Me thinks that the Lowys are using FFA for tax write-offs and also using the FFA to send money overseas to their 'mates'

Release your accounting books Steven so I can be proven wrong!

It's a bit like 'how does Bexit work'. Nobody knows, because nobody thought they would be so fucking stupid to actually do it.

You are spot on who would have believed someone who says they love the game so much could take it to the brink  and maybe to suspension.

Its totally unbelievable that Lowy has taken it this far ...

Genius question to anyone who knows the answer.

Client came in today and we got talking about the FFA in-pass and possible FIFA suspension.

Anywho, this guys swears this is a possible outcome.

Because FFA run the A-League a FIFA suspension of FFA applies to all its operations and thus the A-League could also in theory not comply as being played under a non FIFA compliant body... meaning most players would refuse to play as playing in a non compliant league, normally results in a player being banned from playing in FIFA compliant leagues.

NFI if he is talking through his arse or not...
