Well that was a fail if ever I’ve seen one.
Alot of hype for a kit launch. I’m disappointed.

I like the home kit, away kit is a bit bland.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Very plain kits. Away strip looks v similar to WSW of recent times. 3rd strip? Any word of player signing Waz?
Tbh, my favourite kit from the press release is the GK kit with the patterns on the sleeves - would've been awesome if we had that in a black/charcoal/darker orange on the home kit imo.

"Instead, the Roar’s second strip is light grey with black and orange trim."
Not really seeing any grey there, its white.
"The Roar’s third kit is yet to be revealed, but it’s expected to again be the popular Queensland maroon strip worn in the “State of Origin” matches against Sydney FC."

Looking closer, that white/grey one is not too bad at all.

I think both look good. The away is something different, and the home is simple. Much better than last seasons.

Really like the home.
Away is nice too.
Sometimes less is more which in this instance I think is true.
Pre-order says shipping from late October. Would have liked it a bit earlier. Hopefully arrives right in time for the season.

Ahh, it was a good night.
The home kit is perfect, more a statement on last seasons poor effort than the design of this one but this kit feels like, well, coming home.
The away kit is definitely grey, I wasn’t too keen on it first up but it might grow on me. I would have liked to see an all black kit as well.
They had about 100 shirts on sale at the ground via the Rebel sports wagon ... but the Fpos machine failed leaving a lot of disappointed fans.

How'd the game turn out in the end? Wish I couldve made it

They said they’re “working on” that final signing and “it’s close” so make of that what you will.
The game was three 10 minute “halves” - looked okay but I was busy packing stuff away so didn’t get to see much

Might be Álex López, last played for Sporting Gijón. Currently a free agent. 30 year old Spanish CM. http://muchacalidad.com/alex-lopez-a-punto-emigrar-a-australia/

Did he? Thought it was just “emigrating to Australia”?
Decent enough signing if he’s fit.

Yeah, I can’t screenshot unfortunately.
This was from the headline of the tweet

If we get Alex Lopez, he has scored some absolutely screamers down the years. Not sure how good he is these days, could be a bit of a Hervas tbh. Fingers crossed but.

Exactly. If he’s taken this long to decide, how keen is he?

There’s been a few jokey comments on the HAL site about Roar “blowing the budget” on fireworks last night (totally understandable given our history of course).
The fireworks were actually paid for by a supporters group (the RSF), who also made the hand held run-through banner used at the beginning. The club generously donated ex-players kit which was sold off to raise more than $4k to help fund their part.
Supporters groups (Den and RSF) met with the club management about three weeks ago and were involved directly in the planning from woe to go - this is the new Roar under David Pourre and over a thousand fans turned out last night to see it.
So yeah, funny jokes but I’m responding with “How did your club launch their kit?” ... none did it better than Roar this year!

Off on another tangent...it annoys me that FFA coughs up money for Victory to sign Honda when they were grand finalists. Supposed to be a salary cap yet oh let's give the Victory some money to buy a quality player. Why not give help with funds for Phoenix or Mariners etc......and then Victory turn around and sign 2 more decent players.....joke FFA...must be Kevs mates. I ain't one. I'll never forgive him.

Yeah well that’s the way it is. They copped up funds to get Flamini over the line so every club has a chance at this.
