+xSteven Lowy has come out and said FFA have been stitched by false reporting.... if this is so and Vince has just started this for click bait then he should be banned. From FFA now I am not saying its true, but its what they claim. “There have been some media reports that suggest FFA has sought to unduly influence the work of the CRWG. These claims are completely false. FFA has always encouraged all stakeholders to openly debate and carefully consider these important issues particularly given the inevitable difficulty of only having some Member Federations on the CRWG,” concluded Lowy. FFA remains committed to working constructively with FIFA, AFC and all the stakeholders to produce the best outcome for the game as a whole. So have FFA have done this or this is a small action by the small state feds. It needs to be cleared up. As if this is these small state feds with their noses out of join the anger should be directed to them.. Also if this is more Lowy BS then its further reason to make the bastard walk the plank... +x"This Submission ( not referenced in the report of the CRWG) is an independent report influenced by consultations within these Member Federations and most notably without any influence or collaboration with the Football Federation of Australia. " So all parties have seen the CRWG report. And no talks have been held between the FFA and possible allies. Theses Federations appear unimpressed their submission was not referenced in the report to FIFA I suppose it depends on when they submitted it but if 40% of the members of the FFA make a joint submission dissenting from part of the proposal I would expect it to be referred to in the report to FIFA because the standard FIFA set for the FFA when they were controlling the process was consensual agreement i.e. all parties to be in agreement, and it appears that is not the case currently in fact should the 4 decide the issues that they are concerned about are such that they cannot support the proposal then the proposal will fail at the EGM. The CRWG's responsibility would be to make FIFA aware of that fact.

FIFA need to step in with the Sep 7 meeting and take over.
The FFA have proved time and time again recently that they have taken the game as far as it can go in that direction.
I read that the FFA and Australia are the least democratic association in world football. Let that sink in.

I want to see what the exact recommendations are... also want to see Lowy and the FFA on record endorsing or rejecting each specific recommendation.
If it's the 4 smaller state federations holding things up (via the FFA or otherwise), then the NC should come in.

+xMarden would be an awesome venue if they could just get the terrace and seats going on the outer wing. Was there for the FFA Cup game between Adelaide Utd and Victory last year. Definitely has the bones of a classic boutique ground, ready to be a mini Hindmarsh.

+xFor an Australian sports governing body to have ruled the sport for 13 years,to have been flagged by FIFA to fix governance two years ago and to continually spoil and leave things to the last day of virtually every deadline to propose nothing but the same distorted ,myopic and self serving congress is beyond pathetic. It makes you wonder if Lowy and co are so out of touch with the football community they will tear everything down to stay in power. If they try to ,I can see fans with pitch forks outside headquarters. Nah autorens will save them. If people had to physically pay, they wouldn't.

+x+x+x+xI personally hope that the Lowys withdraw every cent they put into the game. Sure, acknowledging that we wouldn't have a national cup, a semi-pro league (NSL) a shit professional league or even Harry Kewell and the sport's high school aside, what has their money and influence ever done for us? The money for WSW formation and SBS coverage goes without saying. I cannot give them much credit, if any, for the quality of owners they recruited for their bullshit A League. That alone is cause for their complete removal from the game IMHO. Well there's the women's league you could point to and joining the AFC and 5 world cup appearances but just what the fuck have they ever done for us???? Lately? You forgot the Matildas sponsorship and the pressure that they put on their corporate mates to tip in sponsorship to all levels of the game. But other than that, I agree, they done nothing... just destroyed a well run game with a proud history of smooth and democratic governance. So Frank and David are now forum members ? Welcome to our brother hood . Thanks for the welcome Miron :) Haven't seen you at any of our secret meeting lately;) if it is secret you won't know me ...

The AAFC statement. a lot of points made in the statement. but overall... “Of course, we do not know what has been recommended, but regardless of the outcome, I will place on record AAFC’s appreciation of the entire Working Group’s willingness to engage with national premier league clubs through us.” Krayem said he trusts that FIFA and the AFC will accept the report and recommendations of the Working Group for agreement by the existing FFA Congress on September 7. http://www.australianfootballclubs.org.au/news/aafc-endorses-ffa-congress-reform-working-group

Just when I came back to this forum and the noise within Aus football from a short while till I see this.
Clearly the current FFA board and especially Steven Lowy is not fit to run the game not just for now but forever!
It’s clear to me the game will not go any where within this current stucture, the damage it has done not only on the FFA, the state feds but within the game in Australia in general will have an negative impact in the years to come.
The game isn’t going anywhere any time time soon and for me it’s history repeating itself from 30 years ago and indeed is very sad! This is taking back to the dark times FFA!
I’ve lost all faith with the future with the sport, I’ve got nothing else to say.

+x+x+x+xWaiting for the leak of what was sent to FIFA FFA to leak first - Very out of context paragraphs to rev up the unhappy Feds more The Member Federations of the Australian Capital Territory, the Northern Territory, Northern New South Wales and Tasmania have presented to the Congress Review Working Group (CRWG) an independent submission that reflects their attempt to achieve a consensual agreement on all matters before the Congress Review Working Group. This Submission (not referenced in the report of the CRWG) is an independent report influenced by consultations within these Member Federations and most notably without any influence or collaboration with the Football Federation of Australia. The submission has had regard to the deliberations and submissions made to the CRWG in confidence as part of its process. The submission does not reject any specific proposal as the detail of the report has not yet been fully considered. The submission identifies a variety of issues and includes recommendations to enable further consultation and discussion. Whilst four Member Federation Presidents were elected to the CRWG to represent the nine Member Federations it was very challenging for them to fully convey the diversity of views amongst the Member Federations. We like all stakeholders involved in the CRWG process have adopted a considered, respectful and judicious approach to the Congress Review Working Group tasks and objectives. We are of the opinion that the working model suggested by the CRWG does not adequately address the interests of grass roots football in the absence of a new operating model for professional football in Australia. These issues present challenges for the proper allocation of resources that enables the proper development of football that enables both aspiration and the opportunity to participate in all forms of football. The interests of grass roots football should always be a primary consideration as it is the lifeblood of our sport. It is our greatest point of difference from the other football codes. It does not sit in the margins. It is our fervent hope that our submission will signal further consideration of the recommendations of the CRWG. We are actively engaged in dialogue with our Member Federation colleagues and have reached agreement on many Congress Review matters around inclusion and expansion. We see the diversity of opinions within the Member Federations to be healthy and commendable and have always argued that to see the Member Federations as a single stakeholder group fails to recognize the diversity and demographic prioritisation of matters related to the administration of grassroots football. Any commentary that is uninformed and judgemental of any submission to the CRWG is not in the best interests of football. We would commend a proper consideration of the issues as part of an ongoing debate to realise optimal outcomes for all involved in football. When. This should have been settled 2 years ago. You have recieved extensions. You have avoided a normalisation committee in favour of one final shot at agreeing. The deadline to make a final proposal to FIFA has passed. If your wishes haven't made the final cut, then maybe it means you're not getting what you want! When does Capital Football think this "further consideration" takes place? Aren't they just the classic public service wankers down there. Oh, 10th deadline has passed, looks like we just need to go over time and over budget. People still pay their taxes so why not.

Open challenge and maybe should be a thread by itself.
Steven Lowy, if you support the working group as you claim. Then come out and say you and your board will endorse the recommendations.

+x+x+x+x+x+xThere's only one FFA observer (no vote) and it isn't Lowy or whathisname CEO. They aren't running anything If there's no agreement by the parties present then FIFA move to arbitration. They decide and implement what they see as best meeting their desired outcome. I think in your haste to attack everyone here constantly you got confused and forget that the parties present in the working group HAVE agreed to something to be put in place. The FFA is bargaining with the smallest federations to block this agreement from passing in a month or two when the Northern bloody Territory can decide the way forward for football in Australia Despite them voting on the 4 members of the working group How do you know what the FFA is really doing? I mean really? All you've got is their clear and open statement that they've accepted that the A League needs new governance and a different operating model. Well hear hear! Good. At last. Great. They make this statement "FFA totally rejected any suggestion that it has sought to interfere with the work of the CRWG or pressure the decision-making of stakeholders." which is clearly a response to the shit rolled out by Lewis and Rugari. Without actual quotes from actual people involved what does that leave you with? Speculation at best and a willingness to believe that the people there must be liars and truly awful because, because.....something.? Oh, and I am not attacking "everyone" "constantly" but I do enjoy pointing the finger at inflammatory idiocy wherever it's apparent. I mean Jesus H Christ look at this gem: "Someone mentioned on here that the lowy's are doing this to avoid jail time might be spot on " Why would any sane person align themselves with idiots that throw out complete and utter poop like that? I'd rather just try and work through what is actually known and then speculate if any of it will actually affect me personally or the interests of my friends and compatriots. It's less fun but more useful. Thanks for your insights David ....but it is too little too late .. you are so stridently pro FFA ...as such you are unique . Why are you so pro an organization that has performed so poorly for football over the past 13 years ? Instead of having a go at ordinary punters who have watched their sport being strangled by incompetency (or maybe even corruption ..who knows), maybe you can advise us why we should all be pro FFA ..and by proxy.. pro the Lowys and Gallop? I, for one am all ears to hear why they should be allowed to stay in power even one more day. I am going to hope SW&P's name is also David. (even though mine's Davide) I am assuming he is David Gallop...can't imagine Steven Lowy doing his own dirty work . Aha ok sorry I didn't get the dig. Thought you thought I had written that
