Saw 'The Predator' today. Not bad, but not great. Shane Black's great dialogue drowned out by his loudest directing.
Re-watched 'Solo' the other night. Just a dull, dull, uninspired cash grab on a legendary character.

Utterly, utterly wrong. If he did any research beyond his own arse he'd know that Nolan and Goyer were creatively involved in, and supportive of, Snyder's cinematic vision beyond and including MoS. What derailed the plan was both the WB executives looking for immediate profit (and immediate glowing reviews from the regressive leftist critics who predictably loved the vanilla WW movie) and off-screen creative problems with Geoff Johns who wanted a Marvel-style vacuous universe where Batman makes quips. He criticizes Snyder for being edgy and over-intellectual, yet comes across the same. Nolan's 'grittiness' aka realism was what DC sorely needed to position itself as counter to Marvel, which it has done in comics for decades. The double standards of these manlet critics is astounding: on the one hand they criticize Snyder for being 'dark', 'overly-intellectual' and 'pretentious' because he has a desire for symbolism and meaning in his characters/plots; yet when the Last Jedi comes out (and it gets shit for being insultingly bad) they defend it as being 'too smart', 'groundbreaking' and 'progressive' because Johnson took creative liabilities and ran with them. Regardless, it doesn't matter what new blockbuster hits the screens, I haven't enjoyed a movie that wasn't shit on by fat parasites for a while. All the new universe-building flicks are just spoon-feeding you regressive leftist bullshit sugar-coated with quips, 'yass queen slay' female characters, and PS2-level CGI. Keep watching while the rich get richer and the planet slowly dies, eat that popcorn and clap fatty!

It's time for some movie news, plebs. Courtesy of reliable (anonymous) information: Aquaman: Mediocre. Amber Heard is noticeably bad and can't act but knows who to root and is hot af, that's why she's there. They forced Wan to tone it down a bunch. CGI is a little above Justice League tier right now. They're expecting it to make a lot of money due to a lack of competition. The comic version of Arthur Curry was not used.
Harry Potter-verse: WB wants a sequel quadrilogy with Harry, Ron, Hermione, etc. Fantastic Beasts 2 is alright but they don't want to stay attached to Johnny Depp. He gives the same generic cooky performance in this one and it's just not worth the hastle anymore (He has apparently lost his fucking mind)
Shazam: They think it will be a big hit because there's "never been a superhero for generation z". There's going to be tie ins with Fortnite, McDonalds, etc. The Rock will be filming his cameo as Black Adam soon, with the version they're going with completely different than intended (with Snyder). Expect a cringe-fest.
Christopher Nolan: Really wants to do James Bond but they won't let him as they fear he'll ruin it's potential longevity. He wants Akira next, WB is willing to pay him anything to stay with them. They desperately want him to take another superhero franchise but he isn't interested after what they did to Snyder.
King Kong/Godzilla: They were surprised at how good Skull Island was and want a sequel. Problem is that Kong movies are pretty one dimensional, and he doesn't have any villains to fight. They want to bring over a kaiju from the Godzilla series for a sequel. King of the Monsters is supposedly very good and they expect more sequels, they specifically set up for Destroyah and Mecha Godzilla
Green Lantern: McQuarrie and Tom Cruise (as Hal Jordan) are in. They want Michael B. Jordan for Jon Stewart but he wants to be Superman. It's going to be based off of the Sinestro Corps War, which apparently Cruise loves.
Womder Woman Sequel: Pedro Pascal has supposedly been doing great. Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) has been awful and they're cutting more and more of her from the script. Wonder Woman takes a shot from a Russian nuclear sub at the start of the movie. They want to make her uber powerful and more perfect to compete with Captain Marvel.
Superman: Cavill is definitely out. Apparently due to an undisclosed incident that happened in China while promoting MI:FO. MBJ wants the role, but they know that would make the movie tank, they still want him for other roles though so they're having to skate around the issue lightly. Likewise, James Gunn wants the director chair, but they want Peter Jackson. It's not happening for a while anyways.
The Flash: Ezra Miller is horrible in the role and everyone knows it. Unfortunately he has quite the contract and apparently knows some higher-ups. The current directors are going to get fired and it's going to get pushed back again soon. This is the one they have circled for James Gunn and they feel like it's the one that would most suit the Guardians tone. Once he signs on there'll be a complete script re-write, unless that pesky child porno problem surfaces again around Gunn.
Birds of Prey/Suicide Squad 2: Apparently the people writing it haven't even read any relevant comic. They want the Penguin as the villain for some reason. There's a possibility neither could happen as Robbie has no intention of working with Leto and has other projects she could do unless the studio pulls their finger out.
Batman: Affleck is out whether or not he's sober enough to realise it. He's a headcase and they want nothing to do with him anymore. He's literally having a mental breakdown because of bad critical reception. All of the other stars have had to deal with the same shit and they've just shrugged it off. Reeves is working his ass off mapping out an entire trilogy of Batmovies plus spinoffs. Court of the Owls, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Penguin are all going to be involved one way or another. If Phoenix's Joker movie is a success then he will be the Joker and Leto swiftly forgotten. Jon Hamm really wants to be Batman, the studio wants Kit Harrington for some reason.
Blade Runner: Completely dead. Studio unhappy with financial return despite being a quality film.
They want to make a Shining sequel with Nicholson. They also want to merge The Meg, Pacific Rim and Rampage into one universe - The Rock and Statham are lobbying hard.
Mad Max is also completely dead. George Miller is done with it.

Coppied pasta this one . About how batman was supposed to die in synders dceu universe "No no.. Zack Snyder is God. He can do no wrong. You need iq over 269 to understand Zack Snyder movies. His movies are so complex, mature and symbolic. He showed the naked butt of Ben Affleck in bvs to symbolize the crack in justice system. It's a shame he didn't get to have Batman raped in prison. Marvel fanbois are childish. They don't understand" 🤣🤣🤣

Social embargo for #Venom is up. I talk about this a lot in my review but this is a movie that somehow slipped through a wormhole from 2004. That's my biggest take. It's a movie that spilled from the pre-MCU era through a crack in time and space." Bahah how did they fuck it up? Curious to find out this weekend. -PB

Saw dragon ball super: broly today. Brillant and they put broly into canon now. Which is great as his 3 movies were non canonical. Just wished we could've watched it in subs as listening to goku in japanese is hilarious as he sounds like a little girl. In English he rightly sounds like a bad ass.

A typical pleb response. A comment posed merely as an entry-level opinion is no valid argument, unlike this high-felutant rendering of Snyder's brilliance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOpHKXj-tZM

Captain Marvel is legit the worse MCU film to date. Young Sam Jackson and Ben Mendlesohn are good but the plot is dull, predictable and Larson is wooden. The character herself is also annoyingly unlikable. Who-da-thunk the forced, overpowered, cheap WW rip-off wouldn't come off? It shits me that a great villain like Thanos will be defeated by a focus group level hero.
