Inglis busted drink driving and speeding. A second Rabbitohs scandal in just a few weeks. Will be interesting to see what the NRL says about this.*
*Edit: beaten by 29 seconds.

.Have to wait and see with Meaney, he is raw but he looks good to me Much more talented than Cerruto who hasn't been offered a contract last I heard.

That Jimmy Barnes doco on 7 last night was absolutely compelling from end to end. One of the great biographical documentaries. If you ever get a chance to catch it do so. Doesn't matter if you're a fan or not, he's got a hell of a story to tell.

+xAh the pride of the league again. Inglis speeding and drink driving charges. Over to you telecrap.. Just hours after he was named the new captain of the Australian rugby league team, South Sydney Rabbitohs star Greg Inglis was allegedly clocked speeding along the Great Western Highway at Lithgow. A subsequent breath test allegedly returned a positive result. Damnit Nancy...don't you know a victim when you see one.....the use of the word "allegedly" is a tad misplaced..he was clocked but the allegedly should be attached to the word "speeding" not clocked....but who gives a sh*t

He was returning to carry out this highly commendable roll in Refern also after attending traditional ceremonial and indigenous welcome to country rituals as a community leader which entailed the use of alcohol as a mouth washing cleansing traditional practice. Therefore the finding of alcohol in his system was an unfortunate mistake of the police testing system ...he did not swallow and therefore police have decided not to press charges and due to Mr Ingliss previous exemplary character, police and the Daily Telucrap have issued an unreserved full apology to Mr Ingliss and the South Sydney Rabbitohs henceforth. As a gesture of goodwill, the DT have agreed to provide 1 million dollars of in kind good publicity to the agrieved parties.

We should have thrown the bank at Cronk when we had the chance.

Dan, not sure if you realise that Dubbo is three hours drive from Lithgow. If he was mid range when he was pulled over, just imagine what the reading would have been when he left Dubbo. Then again with the money he earns why would you drive, a plane fare is not that expensive.

It really gives an insight on why he was such an angry and violent young man and how and why he became so serene and at peace in middle age. Anybody who went to Chisel gigs in the '80's when they were doing the pub circuit knew that the closer you got to the stage, the bigger the chance of being assaulted by Jimmy Barnes. And a mate of mine was. He was acting the goose so probably deserved a slap, but there was no half measures with Jimmy. He reeled back and delivered a kick to the side of my mates face with the flat of his boot, like a stomp. Split his ear open, blood everywhere - and then he gets kicked out. And Jimmy did this without missing a note, the band not a beat. Just another night. And his brother (John Swan aka Swanee) was worse!

Ratings way down for GF no surpise there. What sane person wants to watch the rorters win? It capped off a poor season, Gould gave it a 2/10 but with the rorters winning it has to be lower.

I watched the state match the other day. I enjoyed it in its own error-prone high-scoring way. The opening 20mins were quite aggressive, more than I expected. They did well for themselves, especially Cleeland, also did well for the club after the problematic few years its been through. It was a big ask for Nu Brown to move from #9 to #7 & be expected to score points, but he managed to contribute to the scoreboard this week & the week before in the grand final, so well done to him. A few kicks left a lot to be desired but a few were great, which is better than all of them bad (or settlers on the 5th). After the match, I fell asleep, so I didn't watch the NRL grand final. I ended up watching most of the first half on Fox replay. JWH seemed to go well. I don't remember seeing any sign of Napa in the first half, but a pic that surfaced this morning showed him 10 hours after the match still wearing his football boots & gear. Maybe he got the AM & PM mixed up? From what I saw of Cronk, it looked like he was just a passenger, barely went near the football at all, seemed to be their #6 doing all the work. Based on that, I don't think he should've been out there at all if he was so badly injured.

It was a boring GF only one side turned up ready to play. The Storm took 40 minutes before they started playing. Even then they bombed 2-3 tries in the 2nd half. I would be very disappointed if I was a Storm player, it was more or less an opportunity wasted. Being beaten by the better side is fine if you put in your best performance, different matter entirely if you drop the ball.

I was only flicking through the channels at the time when the replay was starting, so I thought I'd give it 5 minutes. That turned to 10 mins & I tried to make to half time but couldn't maintain the interest. Latrell harassing his grubby aggressive opposite number over the sideline almost starting an all in brawl was about the only highlight I remember. Latrell won the push & shove, the grand final & stole his rep spot. Latrell will probably be spear tackled & bitten by him next year. .. Sounds like most thought it was a dull final. What I saw of it didn't do much for me either. The state match was great though, it was high enough, long enough & straight between the posts from Eastwood? What in the world? :)

The rorters were so fragile they needed to have Cronk as a babysitter, it was a farce.

Inglis stands down or is suspended from the 2 Tests, yet the media and Meninga, is portraying him as shown "great leadership skills" to stand down.
Pfft
Leadership skills? For drink-driving and speeding?
Meninga is a worry. His blinded support for indigenous and QLD players is beyond ridiculous and someone should be held accountable for making him Kangaroos coach. There's got be an investigation into this!
