Funny you mention that. Just listened to the fox football podcast from last week. They spoke to the coach of the under 17 joeys team. He said they have massive battles for players to be ready for tournaments because our season is aligned with Europe and not with Asia. We come into these qualifiers every time always unde done.

This got me thinking why are we aligning ourselves with a confederation that isn’t us. Shouldn’t we try and align ourselves with our own confed being Asia. Simon hill always says we don’t do enough to be apart of Asia, well this would make perfect sense and help us as well.

Because we have a 7 month season. We don't "align" with anything.

The youth are all playing through the winter anyway, either in the NPL or their development competitions.
