Everyone know Lichaa needs a good 2019 to have any chance of getting a contract extension.
He isn't a walk up start to play 9, nor is he fully out of contention.
Like Tolman he is more of a defensive player, both probably need to do more in attack.
I do agree 9 is a critical position in the teams attack, and Lichaa needs to improve to be a 9 in the modern game.
But current neither Brown or JMK have the fitness and ability to defend well at 9 for 80 mins.
if we start JMK at 9, we will move Jackson to prop, otherwise the defence up the middle will be too fragile.
Like Lichaa, JMK might overcome those doubts and improve his defence.
We might have more cap space to play with for 2020 no neither is a walk up start to be here in 2020.
But why constantly bag the players, give them a chance to show what they can do, under a newish coach, playing a new style.

I saw enough with the previous coach, and I saw enough in 2018 with the 2019 coach.

I thought we threw a lifeline at Lichaa, yet it seems he is contracted for 2019. I'm surprised the lifeline wasnt a 5 year contract!

Whats worse is we offloaded our 2 reserve grade hookers who showed promise, but kept Lichaa who has proven to have very limited ability.

You'd think we would have learned our lesson by not flogging a dead horse like we did with TRex. But seems we have forgotten already and have pulled out the whip again......

Marki, the stupidity of your dislike of Lichaa is compounded by the fact you and Big Tony (now there is a pair) wanted Segyaro to sign with the Dogs...a player who had a good year with Penrith about 5 years ago and has gone spiralling in a circle ever since...like soapy water just about ready to rush down the plug hole. Even when he did good things you and your kind refused to acknowledge them. Your persistent haranguing of Tolman is similarly misplaced. It is all about balance and I am not talking about the overinflated priced running shoes you probably wear.

They keep bringing out new Hayne details. I'm really disturbed by it all. If it's true, then minimum 10yrs in prison. There's no footy blokes jury doing favours this time.
The girl took photos of the bloody biting mess he made of her privates (during what she says was rape) & gave the photos to the police, plus they have the hospital records of her having to be treated for the damage he caused her. It could be his last 3 weeks of freedom & his dreams of anything to do with sports might be ancient history already.
As much as religion can drive me nuts, I wish he stuck with it instead, this is really bad to hear about on every news bulletin.

One thing I have noticed with these Off Season Training Videos on the Dogs website is that with all the Skills Coach the guys are working on, Lichaa is in most of them working on passing the ball from the ground.... check it out

Lichaa’s distribution isn’t quick, his instincts are to stop, then pass to someone that is either not ready or in a worse position that Lichaa originally is in.... All his faults lie with his attack especially inside the Attacking 20.

I hope we see improvements in him in 2019 especially with this new skills coach, losses a bit of that Torana Drop Tank (weight) that he’s been carrying for the past 12months

I’m not sold on JMK or Nu Brown at Hooker unfortunately

It still has to go to court, but it's sure as hell looking guilty with no way out to me.
He's topped them all, Matt Lodge going mental in USA, Paul Hayward & his smuggling stupidity in Asia, Russell Packer for his couple of years locked up, Carney & anything he's done, streakers, you name it... Hurting a girl isn't something they'll take too kindly to when he is locked up either. It's not helping his cause that an old SMH article has resurfaced of him biting some girl in a club years ago. Sounds like it'll be another Hayne media circus for the next month. Hopefully they wont dig anything else up on him because the story wont go away in a hurry as it is.

It’s awful stuff BN... but not unheard of

I remember back at our Year 12 formal, Dman bit into his Sports Teacher after making him bat at No.11 during a game of cricket.... Mr Muritti pressed charges I think

BN disturbed is the right word, it it is true it is very bad.
I suppose he deserves his day in court as I always believe in going through due process, if he is found guilty it is a long jail sentence and the end of his NRL career, exactly what he would deserve.
There is something about Hayne I've never really liked, there is probably something wrong with the game full-stop.
Some players have big egos, little humility and compassion, and are selfish, poor role models.
Things would go much better if someone sat them down and told them a few homes truths at the start of their career, you are not special, you are just a football player. You are representing your family, community and club, do it with dignity.
I can't imagine what Hayne's family is thinking, if a allegation like this was made against one of my nephews, it would be very hard to take. But I know none of  my nephews would do anything like this,

Channel 7 news had a bit about the upcoming court case re Fine and Elliott. It was Fine's lawyer who spoke ...and well too...along the lines of everything we said here. The telegraph on the other hand are denying they had someone in an elevated position and saying (at least per Channel 7 news) that they took the incriminating photos from the street. I don't think they could really expect any court to swallow that.

If the lawyer for Elliott and Fine was smart he would have someone standing on the balcony where the boys were and have someone try to take a photo from street level and show the court that would be impossible to do so. That'll fk the telecrap up big time.

Having seen the footage on TV, it's obvious that the height of the camera was irrelevant. They guys can be seen naked from street or tree or 2nd storey house.

The only difference is whether you could see actual penises and bums and with any clarity. That's where the telescopic lenses come into it.

This is the issue they are faced with.
If the balcony was a winter garden and the cameras shot through windows, it would be deemed perving. The DT knows this. The police know this.

There is a difference between me walking around my bathroom naked and walking to my front letterbox naked....

Steve, you just incriminated them with your last sentence......

In my opinion, the only reason Fine's lawyer is involved is because he is a reserve grade player cut loose, has copped a fine and has no possible club for next year. Arguement is the severity of the punishment rather than the crime.

Elliott on other hand is a first grader, is well known footballer, earns good money and has an ongoing football career. Can hardly mount a crying game arguement there.

Speaking of the crying game......

Yes, it is odd that they all seem to contact the NRL first. Weirder that he wasn't on contract with anyone...
Seems the only way he can get out of it is if she suddenly says she made it all up or that she really slipped in the bathroom & somewhat inconveniently landed on her mothers false teeth, then coincidentally slipped over again & again... For a retraction of original claims to happen, she'd probably have to be bullied or threatened somehow. Now it's all in the media, along with police having more than enough evidence, the police & courts can't just walk away from it & say we'll let you off with a warning this time son, they've already thrown charges at him based on that evidence because they have no choice. With past similar indiscretions, it's not looking good for Hayne. It's not like he can just walk away by saying it was consensual & any physical damage was accidental because that itself (accidental) is instant bust, especially with the evidence in the hands of police, also the girls mother as a witness (the taxi driver as well, so he can't say he wasn't there). Right now he'd be a very high chance of suicide & getting worse each day. Career ruined & nothing to look forward to but 10 to 20 years in prison. I don't know how the authorities will handle or monitor that kind of thing to prevent it.  And the girl wouldn't be feeling like she had a lovely romantic evening either...

Agreed.

Bad joke, not meant to be funny, but she should've become wary before inviting someone over from an app calling themselves "Draculane Plane the repeat offender".

With the mad Monday photo angle, when I looked a couple of months ago, there's no way it was taken from the street outside. The only possibilities were the 2nd road beyond the small park from approximately under the bridge itself (seemed like they'd have to stand on top of a van to get that angle or something similar) or just on the other side of the bridge in or on that first building. Maybe it could've been taken from the bridge framework itself, but all that under-area of the bridge is difficult to access & climbing up under there is trespassing.

When one's interest is far away from current pop and have virtually not listened to music fm in 30 years...actually no virtually there at all there are no doubt some things I have missed and one I would nominate in Katie Melua "Closest Thing to Crazy"....entrancing beyond belief...and no it is not a song about Marki.. In fact the whole "Call Off the Serach" album is and I heard it playing in a cd store in Japan where it was procured for the princely sum of 340 yen...about A$4...best $4 I have spent all year.

I'm 55 and rock has always been my thing. At the factory I own the only radio station that can be picked up inside it is JJJ, for whatever reason (I'm told it's the lights hanging off the roof). The radio plays non-stop as I like to leave it on when I'm not there for the foolish belief that thieves will think there's somewhere there... listening to the radio... at 3am in the morning....

But anyway.... I'm delighted to report that in between the stupid house music and rap with a c that JJJ is infested with - there are some excellent young muso's still holding the flame that a band consists of a one or two guitarists, a bass, maybe a piano and f***in' set of real drums with a vocalist who sings and doesn't just speak in rhymes.

There's a few of them, who's names JJJ never announces, that are as good and hard as any other era. The ones... whomever they are.... from The States who are always talked of as the new Led Zep absolute standouts.

I'm proud of them,  they actually play instruments! Long live rock!

Having started playing recently after many years of not playing the game I can appreciate how good their passing is. Hitting the mark perfectly every single time.

Yes, it is the type of training I like to see this time of year.

No point in players turning up 100% fit in round 1, and having no idea what to do with that strange oval object that they haven't seen for months.

I think you may be talking about Greta Van Fleet mate, I've been wondering if it was just hype.
