He is a current international playing overseas, is a gun player, plays mostly on the wing but can play centre of field as well, and he is a good goal kicker. Is it him?

But in recent history when our team has been in desperate need for outside backs, we went out and signed 3 forwards so nothing surprises me - especially with a coach who was a forward himself!

You're not going to slog your way to 300 to win in a Test Match.
Don't try and chase it, don't try and block it, just play. If by some miracle you're in a position to go harder late on Day 5, then get there first. If by the same miracle you're in a position to hold out late on Day 5, then get there first.
Until then, just play.

As I've said before, I reckon the problem with the modern Aussie batsman is that if nothing is happening they think they have to make something happen. Khawaja and Handscome - typical break the shackles shots for no reason whatsoever.
This is Test Cricket. When and if you're in a position when you NEED to make something happen, that's when you try and make something happen. When nothing is happening and you don't need to make something happen, just bide your time until you're chance comes, because it will come.
Until then, if nothing is happening - that's GOOD NEWS!
