Khawaja reverse sweeps for 4 and then the next ball is identical and he edges it to short leg. Should have played the reverse sweep again.

If india had to bowl in a heat wave on this pitch defending 350.... In any case if the pitch holds together we only need to get 300 odd in the first innings and its game over even without rain Siddle dropped Rohit on 15 . He went on to score 63. Pant was dropped early.. scored 39. Now if I knew what their partnership was I would have an educated guess. At a stab I will say run cost was between 60/80. India declared on 443. So what is the state of play as we head into Day 3. Some pundits are saying India missed a trick by its go slow in the middle and a decent portion of the last session. As I saw it our bowlers caused the go slow with their unwavering discipline. One of the best bowling performances I have witnessed from our entire bowling unit for a good while. Once the shine goes off this new ball will it will be easier to bat on. Can our relatively green lineup bat most of the day and knock a decent slice off their score? India's star batting rock Chet Pujara said batting became harder the longer the day went. True, he is the senior batsman in the team, he needs to set himself to be there until the end of the innings. Runs do not matter hugely at the moment, just not getting out. Not out 120 with Australia getting over 400 would be a massive success.

India's batsman looked good because they played test innings according to the conditions ie play yourself & take minimum risks = slow scoring & whilst they gave chances looked settled at the crease.

According to experts on this forum, nothing affects the ball to swing, especially the weather. So why do we polish one side, why was Warner & co banned, when it doesn't affect the swing?

Don't you guys read the forecast, there was always going to be a change today.

It is getting hard to watch our cricket team lose so much - and - losing decisively.
For those of of us who follow football, it is analogous to home supporters of Brazil, Italy, Spain, Argentina or Germany, lose games home and away on a consistent basis.

+xMarsh out, he must be dropped, he is not good enough, a proven failure. I agree. Shaun Marsh, because we have such an inexperienced batting line up, has had so many chances to consolidate. He isn't good enough at Test level - for whatever reason. Conversely, I thought Mitch Marsh bowled well in one of his roles as an all rounder.

This is depressing. I just can't understand how our batting techniques are so poor.
Bumrah is the bowler of the series for me. I can't remember the last time I saw an Indian bowling performance this good. He is a nightmare bowler to face.

They'll want bigger holes for Jadeja and to recharge Bumrah.
Wh give Aus the chance of Lyon having a score to defend in the 4th?
