+x+x+x+x+xThis is a hell of a choke in the BBL final. Says plenty that the BBL final is not prime time Sunday night viewing... About T20 Crocket product, the viewing habits of the public, and CH7 and Cricket Australia's priorities... What would it have been up against 60 minutes ands MAFS or some other 'unreality' show?... Yeah it has some serious rethinking for its finals format. I think this year of all they have realised a few issues with the entire comp that they need to tweak. For starters, I think they need to shorten then whole comp or start it earlier. There is no way it can run into prime time "reality" shows and no way it should overlap rugby league. The public is so eager for the league season that even trial games, WCC, Charity shield and All Stars is more appealing. Not many sports can compete with league, no matter what their administrators think. You take-on league - you lose. CA has already committed to more games next summer as part of the TV deal... CH7 might need a fourth channel or give the majority of games to fox as they obviously prioritise unreality shows... For mine, the thing it really lacks is Australia's best cricketers... That MAFS show Marking, they don't really get married do they?... #fakevows... It's not quite a formal (legal) marriage. It's not permitted. The whole thing is staged. Some of the actors are good and I expect them to do some K-mart ads in the near future. They certainly have more of a chance at hitting 100k social media followers than say winners of the Voice. Its junk TV but I'm hooked on its stupidity. I described it to a friend of mine as "like watching porn". Its all the curious stuff you dont have in your marital relationship that seems appealing - even if not something you'll ever do. And that is what attracts everyone... So it's a sitcom... Or a drama... Or is even scripted to the extent the producers are giving instructions?... Or is it just chewing gum for the brain???... Its def not reality... And by everyone you mean everyone who watches it... Which is apparently more than will watch the cricket... Go figure... I'll pass on unreality and the big papi videos thank you very much...

Would be great to see a couple of BDPers join Villis Supercoach league this year... The benefits include - -Cheering for a roosters player or two... -Probably a couple of Manly guys... -Wishing injury o the games best (if they're not in your team)... - bemoaning a bulldogs player not in your team having a great game... - essential my sucking all the enjoyment out of your season until the finals....
The real question is, are bragging rights worth it?...

"Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward" https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/man-dead-after-home-invasion-goes-wrong-in-sydney-s-south-west-20190217-p50yef.html- Yeah sure. I thought I overheard a man in the second aisle of the nearby service station say he will kill anything that tried to stop him, while talking on his mobile.....

Bmoz was very good for Easts this morning playing centre. The first 2 of his hat-trick were scored within the first 8 minutes. Not just make up the numbers tries, he broke through a set defence & carried multiple defenders over the line to score. Good luck to him, the change of scenery & everything seems to have done him good. He ended up the first player to win the man of the match award twice in club challenge history. I always suspected at C'bury that he should've been the centre due to his line breaking ability & elusiveness, with Jmoz on the wing for his fast finishing ability & defence.

Happened across the terrorcrap in the office. Buzz article titled '50 shades of great'... I don't get the link between footy and 59 shades other than the footy reporters at the paper are perverted... #31 battle between dogs and Canterbury for wooden spoon... #35 can a for Fox ift the dogs into the finals... #hack...

I always thought JMoz was best used on the wing. Once he lost his attacking ability, good defence wasnt enough in my opinion to keep a centre spot and I was filthy we let Lafai go instead. But I never would have guessed how good Bmoz would be at centre. Most knew was good at wing and fullback and most would have rated him better than Jmoz. Good on him. He is my sons favourite player so I'll watch the replay with him.

Lafai was only intermittently good for the Dragons but had two appalling years for us ...he never looked like getting his best form back and it was maybe more of a sentimental thing

At centre he can run to the left or right of his marker, fooling or wrong footing them when possible then using his speed to run around them. Jmoz wasn't as quick off the mark & was caught easier but once he got going he ran fast & was difficult to stop. Latrell holds the title deeds for that centre spot though, but it was good to get the chance to see Bmoz at centre, he really went well.

Do remember this was against a SL team.
BMoz or anyone else won't be scoring tries dragging defenders across the line with him in NRL. That was Jason Taylor 2001 GF stuff.

It was enough to win it for his team on the day. The rest of them didn't look like they had any points in them, apart from Toupou catching a kick in the corner. You're right though, NRL defence tends to be stronger & better drilled. I noticed the crowd was totally silent from the moment he scored the first one after a couple of minutes & it wasn't until Wigan later scored their first one to make it 10-4 that they came alive, very vocal after that. I can imagine what they'd have been like if Wigan got a 20 point lead, it'd be deafening. Bias is an understatement.

It is all a conspiracy theory...the Moz's are there as spies for Bulldog fans everywhere...to infiltrate their supposed new clubs and show they are serial salary cap cheats. Once it is proved they will both be back in Bulldog colours by round 10. It is not as mad as some of the things Big T has suggested

For a Prosperous season It is what it is BT. With no finals expectations (at start of year), we arent under any huge pressure, so it's the final season of getting out of the Dib/Des mess. Mind you, if we start well enough and are in the top 8 with a few rounds to go, the club will reset their goals and missing finals will be considered a bit of a failure. Bit like Tigers last year.

For a Prosperous season Tony, alas didn't go as it turned out couldn't have as had to take son to airport (avoid Sunday morning if you can). I do concur that centre is where we are lacking..perhaps we will get a surprise. It is hard to figure how a lower grade player will go when elevated to first grade.

Morgan Harper potentially has the ability to fill in this position and play similar to a John Timu, or Nigel Vagana. He certainly has a physique similar to those too (tall and lanky) and nifty off his feet. After the GF win and presentation against Newtown Jets last year, I happened to be next to him on the field when he took a phone call and was excited with the fact he is considered a long term prospect for first grade. He was telling his family on the other end about it. I really hope he gets a chance this year and hope he takes it.

Cmon BigM!!!!!.... If the 14th immortal maintains or improves his form from the back end of the year at centre, those lamenting the lack of a strike centre will be hailing the new Ben Harris... (Let's see if I can draw Nancy out with that one)...

+xJust saw the news this morning. Very sad news about Tim Pickup, I hope they find him safe. I saw that this morning too. I remember him fairly well from those days. Here's a news article about it : https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6718435/Desperate-search-former-NRL-player-dementia-patient-Tim-Pickup.htmlHopefully he turns up OK. I'll be gutted if they find him at the bottom of the gap or something like that.

Darn bad and sad news. All too frequently we hear of ex elite contact sport sportsmen suffering from some form, of dementia. They did a big study of this in USA. I wonder if anyone has done similar studies here.
