Agree, Ingham has been found out - not good enough for RB, not good enough for RW either.
Ideal signing for a second division imo.

@Jimo8
The mens first team pays all the bills. Well, in Roars case 75% of them, the Bakries pay the rest.
Poor ownership practices in the past led to poor administration in the back office and stalled the clubs growth now the back office is fine and it’s caused problems in the football department - Aloisi should never have been hired, then he shouldn’t have been given a 3 year contract, then he should have been fired after last seasons debacle.
Will the Bakries ever learn?

Will the Bakries ever learn? Hopefully they are learning as they go.I guess after JA's first season they simply saw the good results and thought he was a good coach . Maybe now they have learned to also look deeper into club culture etc and see what a coach is really doing to their asset. I know that is wishful thinking but you have to assume they are intelligent men and can learn from their mistakes.

Ingham is far from perfect,but geez people here are quick to crucify players. We have young players playing under Aloisi and DD and expected to excell. Ingham has played some good games.He has played for the Kiwis.I just dont see how he becomes rubbish after a few poor games.I blame the coaches.You can almost guarantee he will go elsewhere and do well with a coach who has a real plan,that doesnt change every week and can actually make players understand,what he wants.
Brown is playing in a top three team.Yes he makes mistakes sometimes.But so do all the other fullbacks. Champness at Newcastle has improved since leaving as well. Agostino goes away and plays under a coach who actually has a system and coaches players and surprise ,he looks ok. The only reason DWH isn't a basket case after being cut twice is he doesnt give up.Even now DD is screwing with him.He is an excellent scrapper and so accurate with shots in and around the box. So DD beings in Babalj ,who takes his spot and sits him in the box and gets DD to sit on the left wing and bring the ball forward and pass? The guy is clueless. Forget judging players at the moment .If players are excelling at the moment ,it's a miracle .

Spot on. DWH has done everything you could expect of a young striker. Then as soon as he locks in for the future, he’s making way for a guy who’s done nothing to deserve it. Similarly, how must Calletti feel? Why would he even consider sticking around? Left out of the squad while TK plays 90 minutes and we have a ridiculous bench of three strikers.

+xThe problem wasn’t Mckay playing his role, he played it well and very deliberately. The problem then was TK and Lopez offered virtually nothing in midfield - they neither occupied space to help defend nor provided forward movement to assist the attack. None of that is Mckay’s fault with all three goals coming from awful defensive errors. I agree that McKay played his roll to the best of his ability but the problem was the roll he was being asked to play. It ended up being a 5-2-3 with none of McKay, nigro or leck getting forward. That left tk and Lopez to be the link between defence and attack. Neither of them are mobile enough to get forward quickly so it ended up just being pointless long balls forward. Because there were no wide players there were huge gaps for SFC to exploit and because we only had 2 mids it was a free pass for SFC to move the ball forward through the mids into attack. It is no coincidence that when we made our first 2 subs and moved to a more traditional 442 we actually looked competitive. The players have no leadership they don't know where they should be passing or running. When they went back to a more familiar formation they looked a bit better. That's a failing of the coach. Despite that the coach has been forced into those changes because the players are not up to standard. Of the squad only young, mauk and beauteac are starting quality (no one else would start in any other team excluding CCM). Dwh is close but he is not up to leading the line just yet

Boy what a defence. So naïve and clueless. Bad coaching or lack of experience and leadership? Yes all of the above. The coaching department needs a more comprehensive cleanout. Regarding the game well it was still better to watch than when Aloisi was in charge. Apart from the loss I actually enjoyed it.

The only reason I'm watching the roar is DWH and Eric. They work hard and actually want to play. Where there is nothing from the majority of the team. I just have a bad feeling that the worse is yet to come if we don't get the right person in that brings in new talent and change the culture at the club.

I’d actually like to see D’aggers start over Babalj. D’aggers looked reinvigorated after that Olyroos stint and it’s clear Wenzel-Halls is less effective without a Taggart type player

The season is lost and I'm happy we giving many of the young ones a go. The establishment of a new coach (and decent football department) is the most anxious wait for me too at this point. The fox football panel said the word is it will be announced within a week.

Babalj really did nothing for me that game. You can feel the energy escalate when Dags came on and it's hard to take yours off DWH expecting something special could happen at any moment when he has the ball.

Babalj is an enigma.He has good technique.But he has done nothing to deserve top billing in the striker roll.If there is no position for him with DWH as the main striker then he shouldn't be there.

Why is he even on trial... surely a guy who warmed the pine in India has to prove himself elsewhere before even given a shot? This Brisbane mess is so frustrating because I once loved everything you guys stood for. Even through the trials and dramas Brisbane always somehow made it into the finals, gave teams a real fight etc. Now it's like the Mariners crazy cousin.

@JonoMV
“Why is he on trial?”
err, because of the FFA’s crazy restrictive rules
* you can’t transfer a player in ie go and buy a player of some quality.
* you can’t loan anything in but a youth player so again, can’t get any quality.
* and you can’t go beyond 23 players and the cap $ so can’t bring anyone of quality in even if they are available.
So clubs in our situation are left with the desperate, needy and homeless players. It’s sh*t but that’s how it is when you’re down the bottom.

Yeah, the club has to take this shite season on the chin, there’s no hiding now - this is the worst Roar side ever and it’s probably the biggest player budget not to make finals so an utter waste of money as well.
But it’s not like we signed Babalj at the start of the season lol.

Babalj put himself into position to head several times, but every time someone just leaned into him and he was pushed away. If he can either develop more base strength or get better technique to brace and hold position we will see more of him. One of our players a few seasons back had quite good skill and a good touch - but he was pushed off the ball every time. Wasn't Cernak but was round that time. Unless players can build a physical presence their skills can be lost so easily. Caletti slips a bit into this category too and his size contributes to that. Work in progress...

You'd think a 6ft 5inch striker who's been a professional footballer for almost a decade, would be way past the stage of developing more strength or learning to hold his position. The guy is 27 years old - he should be at the peak of his career, not a "work in progress."

+xKurz has NO chance(thank fuck) Hopefully not, but maybe as Miron mentions it could be Rudan. It would certainly explain the passport and visa comment by the club - I don't think they've opened the borders to New South Welshmen yet have they?
