+xThoughts on Kevin Muscats coaching? Heading for another season where he finishes double digits behind the leaders, is this acceptable? Id like for him to get an offer somewhere else rather than sacking him. The only place i can see him getting a job is south east asia. I just think it's gotten a bit stale. Need a new start for club and kev.

+xLast year’s grand final win masked his weaknesses as a week to week coach, I suspect the review at the end of this season won’t be as favourable without a toilet seat on the end of it. you're assuming we won't win the toilet seat. This year has a bit of a similar feeling to last year. a home final against adelaide is a real possibility. a semi final against sydney is a certainty (assuming we don't fall over in week 1). and an away GF against a team starved of success.

+x+x+xLast year’s grand final win masked his weaknesses Yeah I hate it when coaches use full trophy cabinets to paper over the cracks. So you're happy finishing anywhere between 10-20 points behind the league champion? That’s a giant assumption. personally i would prefer to win the league but this is aus. And tbh this season i could not really care less. If anything my beef would be with ACL performance.

It’s not Muscat’s fault that 6/10 teams qualify for the finals which determines the “champion” in our country.
As someone else pointed out above, Joyce could finish 6th and do the same thing and City would be hailed as champions of Australia.
Whilst we persist with holding GF winners above Premiers Plate winners as a football culture, there’s no shame in setting up a team to be competitive in a finals environment and not really caring if you finish 2-6 in the regular season.

Posted in the Big Blue thread, but I'll post here too, TA is cleared of serious injury: https://www.melbournevictory.com.au/news/terry-antonis-injury-updateMelbourne Victory midfielder Terry Antonis has today been cleared of any serious injury to his left knee after going down in Saturday night’s match against Sydney FC at the SCG. The 25-year-old underwent scans late Sunday after returning to Melbourne, while the rest of the squad travelled to China for Wednesday's AFC Champions League clash. General Manager of Football Operations, Paul Trimboli provided an update on Antonis from China. “Terry sustained an injury to his left knee in the match vs Sydney FC,” Trimboli said. “After a comprehensive review with the club’s medical team, including an MRI, there is good news as Terry has thankfully been cleared of a structural injury to the knee. “Terry is still sore but his discomfort has eased dramatically and he’ll now commence treatment and a rehabilitation program. “We’ll carefully manage his progress but are hopeful to see him back on the park soon.

"Major Player Announcement" on Friday 9.30am according to Goal.com. ADP, Muscy and a "senior player" to be attending. They speculated either Honda's future to be clarified, or Valeri retiring. Only other thing I could think of is Kosta re-signing. Thomas moving on perhaps?

No secret that Honda is leaving, and I ADP would be in attendance if it didn't involve Carl.

Oh I've met some anti vaxxers who are educated and work great jobs. But they listen to and follow celebrities who don't know any medical history but follow a discredited physician. Also the repeated myth of vaccines causing autism .

Who gets the armband next year?
Say for hypothetical purposes we re-sign everyone coming off contract except for Honda.
Brox? Lawrence? Troisi? Terry?

+xI want to go but $35 is too much to sit on the wing General admin is $20 (+$5 bf if bought online). There won't be a big crowd, so just buy GA and sit somewhere at the south end.
