OK serous question.
I am very sceptical about the claimed range of these cars on one single charge. I think they are way over inflated.
What is also interesting is that they don't provide a range at night when you would have all your lights on.
How much does the range go down by in that case?

Genuine question. Are you philosophically opposed or do you have actual reasons? I honestly can't wait for them to become more popular and more competitively priced.

+x+xI've invested in lithium stocks when they were priced so low so I'm all for the rise in electric cars for obvious reasons, however I don't ever see myself driving one 😂 If they went 500 km on a 15 minute charge, got serviced at 50 000 kms intervals and cost 1/4 of what it costs in petrol or diesel why wouldn't you? Genuine question. Are you philosophically opposed or do you have actual reasons? I honestly can't wait for them to become more popular and more competitively priced. No way I'm opposed they are a great idea. For me it's simply me being a car enthusiasts and I love my V8's, so something that's mute just doesn't do it for me. Tesla already make one of, if not the quickest cars on the market so the technology is there and it'll only improve. Maybe the only thing that'll be hard to keep down will be their price. I don't think you'll have to wait too long I truly believe by 2025 there will be alot more electric cars on the streets, especially for those people that don't travel so far to work day in day out so the range wouldn't matter as much. But yeh overall for me I just like the tune of a V8 too much to jump into something that pretty much makes no noise.

I think there will be laws introduced whereby they have to produce a minimum amount of noise on the street because they are too quiet and they are finding that pedestrians are getting run over.
Pedestrians are basically walking in front of them because they can't hear them coming..

Considering how easy it would be for them to fix this problem I'm actually surprised this issue wasn't resolved years ago.

I think manufacturers like Tesla didn't want to solve the issue but Government will be required to step in because people are being run over.
