Australia dodged a bullet.  Shorten was the most dangerous man in Australian politics.   Forever reciting his focus-group prepared speeches that channelled the politics of envy, class division, ageism  pitting low income earner and middle income earner, worker and business owner. Dividing the nation.

The demographic that really fucked Labor were the middle class- the Gen X like myself, who didn't kindly to being insulted with labels such as Top End of Town, who just wanted to keep what we've worked long and hard for over decades like our homes, our investments, our super that Labor wanted to tax to oblivion.
