Eh I'm not overly enthused, he'll be 34 by the time the season kicks off. That said, he doesn't appear to have a history of injuries so maybe he'll cope fine with the workload.

I'm sure coming from being a first choice Bundesliga starter his fitness will be fine at A-League for a season or two at the minimum.

+xVictory apparently linked with another of Delpierre's former Stuttgart teammates, Christian Gentner. Source?

That's true, perhaps I'm just a bit jaded at the awful season (injury-wise) we've just had hahaha

+xOh god, that "leaked" away strip... id probably hand back my membership No way is that real. If you look at our recent kits they've all got little details and features that Adidas love to write paragraphs on. There's no way it will be that plain and boring.

+xHave heard Kurz will be bringing his own entire football staff This was why he didn’t get a second interview in Brisbane. Roar insisted only an assistant after the Aloisi farce. Kurz wont be as damaging presumably but if he does well and lands a European gig, victory’s football department could follow him.

He had a contract and the club wanted to keep someone who knows the club to help Marco. Same goes with dd and roar

Same goes with dd and roar Roars problems date back to Mulveys departure followed shortly by TD Ken Stead going. Since then it’s been a revolving door and very little stability. Aloisi got to mess with coaching, fitness & performance staff, as well as Medical. Turned in to a Clusterfuck. This time around it was simplified - “just bring an Assistant” (and I assume somewhere in Pourre’s office there’s a ghostbuster type sign with “NO BROTHERS” on it

Jay Barnett. That's it. Transfers All players without a flag are Australian. Clubs without a flag are clubs participating in the A-League. Pre-season

any thoughts as to what system Kurz will look to play at Victory? I can't imagine he'll keep the 4-4-2. So will be look towards signing wingers? Kruse? Rojas?

+xthoughts on Brattan to Victory? will probably divide opinions tbh. He's a really nice dude, so can't hate him too much beyond the fact that he's ex City, but the fact that he's technically also ex Brisbane means it's ok as he still came from the same Victory feeder team. -PB

+xthoughts on Brattan to Victory? will probably divide opinions tbh. I don't have a problem with him. He lacked consistency at MC, but that could be said about nearly the whole squad at MC. He's shown he can perform well in the past. He's not too old yet, and has a good history injury wise.

Maribyrnong Leader Melbourne Victory’s $18m Footscray Park move on the line PUBLIC OUTCRY The controversial plan to move Melbourne Victory to Footscray Park could be scrapped if there are widespread objections. But with hundreds of protesters set to descend on an upcoming council meeting, naysayers are being urged to look at the bigger picture
