One here, but there's not a lot to report other than a few rumours.
Though Genreau is back in sunny Melbourne, should be good to see him get more game time. With both him and Metcalf, our younger players look like exciting prospects, hopefully the new coach will give them game time. Najjarine started to show some quality and confidence at the end of the season as well, hopefully we get to see a bit more of him.
Hopefully we can retain Shenkenveld, no news on that front.
Good should be better after playing a season being injured for so long, our CB's have a fair amount of depth.
I would hate to loose Brattan to another HAL club.
Otherwise I'm not unhappy with the outs, although I wish Pierias hadn't left, but he couldn't get a game.

also a man city fan.  watching the guardiola revolution over the last few years has been some of the best football there has been to watch. ever.  

my biggest beef will be if melbourne city starts signing players before we have a manager.  it's that kind of thing that I think has hurt us - having signings forced onto the team.

also i thought genreau would be straight back out again

hearing that Erick Mombaerts could be the next manager. Not confirmed but strong suggestions. Source is SOMEONE ON melb city forum

Interesting seeing as CFG sacked him from Yokohama and then hired Ange.

Who knows about Genreau, but I wouldn't mind if he got a season or two in the HAL and then made the jump. It would have been a good experience for him over in Holland, hopefully it has done him wonders.
I'm not that confident about Petrillo either tbh.

I have a feeling they have already signed him, they are just waiting until the end of the woman's world cup to announce it, they did a similar thing when the men's was on.

Denis Genreau was at our NPL game yesterday, ready to start pre season this week and all signs pointing towards thag he will stay here this season, which is fantastic

great news.  hopefully he gets lots of game time.

im a bit disappointed that we bought in galloway -  it means atkinson wont be first choice.

we are looking a little light in backup for central defence and maybe defensive mid and left back - i suppose curtis good is the backup there.  makes losing brattan seem even dumber though.

we have a lot of players that can move around the front 4 which is great. 

other than maybe bringing some of the reserve squad into the first team as defensive backup and to give them some minutes, i'd be ok with seeing how this team went.

i predict that generau will be our most exciting player this year and also delbridge should improve more  

I agree  with you about delbridge. 

One would hope that with the experience he has gained overseas that Generau will be able to star in this competition this season.

I’m hopeful that EM is the right man for the job to develop the style and players to get the best results.

i guess this is it. good squad, but i am a little disappointed that it looks like no young aus players are being used for a first 11 spot. at least there should be some good sub minutes coming.

Swap griffiths with metcalf and replace nobody with najjarine and there's your team. 

any chance you miserable karrnts will crack 10K atendence for a home match this season?

We have a new coach and a good looking squad on paper so hopefully we will. I think having western United up and running will definitely get more interest

that would put us about 3rd in the league

i'd take the young guy in the first team, but i dont think they imported noone to play sub

city blue memberships are selling pretty well at this time of the year.

this is the first year city blue has been extended on the wing and it's only $10 more than a general admission so great value
