Tough one coming up for Linz against Brugge. Can't see them doing it.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xit would be great if he comes back to the a league for a year sainsbury But he soooooo doesn’t need to though. He’s best served finding another European club, if he comes back here he’ll likely end up chasing oil dollars this time next year. this is where i get confused do clubs go shopping for sainsbury or does his agent now need to find a club because if it's the latter then could our problem be we don't have the right connections to get players to the best clubs? Hope Sainsbury can get a Bundesliga gig. Wherever he goes he needs game time. Not sure Ange needs a centre back atm. Anyone know? signed by a german club based on what? delusional. So much negativity. Just breathe brother. Do you forget he captained a Swiss premier league side before the World Cup playing as a CDM? Do you remember he was signed by zwolle as a kid and played for them regularly when he wasn’t injured? Mate people talk utter shite on here i'm quite convinced. We must be the only nation on earth that is biased AGAINST our own players. Besides a sterling international career (tell me how many Cb's in bundi 2 have nearly 50 caps, some as captain, for a nation in the top 50 and played in a world cup and champions league before?!). Ppl talk utter bollocks and i dont know why. Are they purposely snobbish just to reinforce their own football knowledge and opinion? Is it because they want to believe themselves to be 'realists'? Do they enjoy being purposely negative just to win the argument? I give up Kyriakos Papadopopoulos has 29 caps, played in the Euros for Greece, arguably a bigger footballing nation, has played 20+ champions league games, and was on the champions league bench as a 15 year old. Think he’s probably got as good if not far better pedigree than Sainsbury. So 1? Whose currently neither playing champions league nor internationals

+xNo juric or sainsbury at all. They must be leaving soon Sainsbury would be crazy to stay in this situation. It's that bad that I think van Bommel would even give Jong PSV players a run before him. Lots of Zwolle fans want him back. I can imagine him wanting to stay in the Netherlands but fear some Middle East offer will come and he'll take it. Japan would be acceptable.

Hannover keep crying out for one more defender to the squad plus they only have two centre mids who are either recovering from 2 ACL's or can't complete a pass to save his life but has the armband immunity. Seeing his value at 1m it would be a disgusting steal for any club. If a club at that level can take on players like Jung and Horn who are invalided and have played even less than Sainsbury in the last 18 months then Sainsbury is the perfect value for money option. Won't happen.

I agree with you but, I fear he will end up in the oil leagues. If if he does I’m hoping souttar, timotheu, deng and susnjar (along with Degenek) can force him out of the Roos squad.

Giannou and Mabil out of Europe. Mabil in at ht. The good thing is he's not always getting full games which should keep him fairly fresh. I actually look forward to Mooy being better rested than normal. Irvine is one who'll get tons of time.

Souttar is a mountain and would be a real asset against Asian opposition especially. Susnjar just seems to have it. He's done extremely well in Korea and will hopefully move back to Europe at an appropriate level soon.

It's a real worry with Sainsbury now that he can make any poor career choice he wants, stay on the bench, go for the oil leagues, whatever, as the father in law has his spot safe in the Socceroos regardless.

I think thats a bit disingenuous to both Arnold and Sainsbury. Sainsbury has been continuously picked for the fact that he was the only quality option we had for a long time. Perhaps with the rise of some of these others he will find himself on the bench or even out altogether.

Former Port Melbourne Sharks forward Valentin Cesnik has signed/or is currently trialling with SC Cambuur, he scored the winner on the week-end in their 2-1 win against Almelo, Bouman also played in the same match.

Curious whether Leckie will start. Tips were that he got the cup game while Klünter should be rewarded for a good pre season with a league opener.
