+x+x+x+xHappy with Donks, he was clearly underdone when he got back, a good long pre season should be good for him. That’s the problem though ... Doncs has missed most of preseason already hanging out for oil dollars. I mean, there's only about 7 weeks until round 1 so I think he'll be fine. The original point was he would have a LONG preseason to get fit, which he won’t have. The fat little prick is only there ‘cos he couldn’t get more money elsewhere, and you might need more than 7 weeks to get him fit, he knows how to party. Great to be able to abuse people via forums , spoke to the lad after a game last year , great personality ,certainly not small or fat.

Nothing to do with (yet another) Australian player that leaves a club looking for an overseas move, misses the first 6-7 weeks of preseason, then rejoins the same club after they’ve been knocked out of the domestic cup competition ..... and the best bit is, he resigns in a one year contract 😂 C’mon, it’s utterly crap - at least Victory could have insisted on 2 years.

Once we get rid of the cap and other regressive restrictions we'll be in a position to.

I was more directing the salty bit at the "fat little prick" remark, unusually rude from you. Tbh I reckon the one year thing might be to due with the independence stuff, salary cap might be going up quite a lot next year so it would be foolish for a player to sign anything long-term.

Well, it was a bit rude admittedly.... but man, with behaviour like this (and he’s not alone) it’s no wonder the owners want to increase the number of visa players.

One thing about been a true supporter used to be respect the players and coaches win or lose , nowadays with social media you can just bag players and feel like the Capo , lmfao

so we have 19 senior spots filled, so probably 2 or 3 signings to go (2 of which are visa spots). It hasn't been confirmed by the club, but I keep hearing Ola and Kruse will be our marquee's. I think we need a midfielder a CB and a FB. Can't say I'm massively impressed with the squad, but there seems to be a clear change of direction by promoting more youth with 4 teenagers in the senior squad.

The save footscray park and I love footscray groups are deluded. For some reason they dont think planning and concept art is part of a proposal.

I think we're alright in the FB department. Roux, Brown, Brox, Hoogs, Deng can all play there plus I was impressed with what I saw of Lauton. Def like another CB option and 1 maybe 2 CM's. However if there is a quality option to fill any spot I'd happily take them

Google date this a being released on 27th August 2019 Q+A from the public https://www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au/files/assets/public/planning-services-documents/city-design/masterplans/footscray-park-masterplan-public-meeting-questions-and-answers.pdf"A Maribyrnong Council report has recommended the Council reject its own draft masterplan for Footscray Park, stalling Melbourne Victory’s plans to pursue its soccer academy proposal. The plan to build a soccer academy on the western edge of the park was outlined in an updated draft master plan for the site, but extensive controversy over the proposal has prompted council staff to recommend further investigating the idea.A report to go before Tuesday night’s council meeting instead recommends that a Community Advisory Panel be established to review the proposal, provide future options for Footscray Park and to report back these findings to the council." Melbourne Victory Football Club and Maribyrnong Swifts Football Club today formalised their partnership which will see improvement in facilities for female football players in Melbourne’s west.
Melbourne Victory will support the all-female football club by extending permanent training and playing opportunities at the proposed new Melbourne Victory Academy and Community Facility.
As well as access to the facility for training and matches, the partnership also includes Victory and the Swifts working closely together in a professional coaching and mentoring program to develop and improve the pathway for female players and coaches of today and the future.
The Melbourne Victory Academy and Community Facility includes three flood-lit playing fields, six female and male change rooms and undercover viewing areas for 500 spectators. It will be also be available for local schools and community groups.
The project, which has the financial backing of the State Government, is part of the Footscray Park Masterplan currently being considered by the Maribyrnong City Council.
Maribyrnong Swifts Football Club was established in 2010 and is the sole female-only football club in Melbourne’s west. The club has grown rapidly and currently struggles to accommodate it’s 130 registered players.
Melbourne Victory’s Chief Executive Officer Trent Jacobs believes the partnership is an integral part of the club’s commitment to the development of football in the community, particularly in the west.
“We look forward to extending our relationship with the Swifts and helping develop the current and future generations of female footballers,” said Jacobs.
Maribyrnong Swifts’ Vice President, Diana Drury believes access to the facility is a true game changer for her club.
“The Maribyrnong Swifts Football Club is thrilled to partner with Melbourne Victory,” said Drury.
“This is an exciting opportunity for girls to rub shoulders with inspiring female role models, all in our own backyard.
“Our club is focused on providing a sporting environment where women and girls feel empowered to develop as football players – however it's hard to excel when you’re running around on a dimly lit, overcrowded pitch.
“The facilities we gain access to through this partnership with Victory are a game changer.”
