Okay, its getting to the pointy end of the week, and after the weekend it will be time for the National Teams to gather for their games the following week. Not a word on our team, when its being called together, where, timing of selections. Not a good look. Oh, and apparently Rogic's in. Is that his club letting the cat out of the bag?

Ange used to name the team before any other National Team was announced. Lately they don't seem to care about communication with the fans. Obviously the team has been decided by now so why not announce it.

He's definitely done the hard yards. It's more we simply have others much better in that position. Mooy, Luongo, Irvine, Rogic, McGree, Jeggo and even Antonis.

On fitness and form he may go OK. I was especially impressed with how Jeggo led the midfield against Korea. Did I miss any of our midfielders?

Is the squad being name today?

I wish they turned it into something at least. England and German TV have countdowns and lots of talk. Ours do one post and a simple interview on a newbie.

There was a friendly match before the Asian cup that I didn't even find out about until the day before the game. That has never happened to me before. The only communication coming from the FFA is Arnie telling us we will never make the World Cup again because apparently all the Asian teams consist of 10 Messis and a goalkeeper. I think they have officially given up.

I agree. We shouldn’t be having to guess when the squad is announced. It was said in an article earlier in the week it was Thursday and then yesterday nothing. 

Now it it says in another article it’s today but that’s not from an FFA source.

Pretty standard Arnie squad, no shocking omissions or additions. Odd that he's taking so many of his A-League favourites, but they're pretty close to being in season I guess, and the camp in the UAE won't hurt 

Good one. Holland the only name (on form) that looks to be missing. Would love to see Nabbout get called up again soon.

So with the U18s winning that trophy. Who thinks at least 1 of those players should be in this squad , just for experience / regenration purposes.

at least it would be someone to watch for the only player everyone will be looking at is taggart 

Mabil has been impressive for the G&G thus far. His approach to improving his game should be aspired to by all out boys. 

There is a lot of no names in that squad.

I believe some should have been left at their clubs to improve whilst these U18s would have benefited immensely , plus have just beat most of Asia's young talent already.

I mean some interesting points in that. 

I would have taken John Iredale for the experience over McLaren. Iredale is in form and match fit and if we were a few goals up, chuck him on in the last 10 mins to give him experience. On the other hand, he has been called up to a senior squad before for the experience.
Zac Duncan should also have been considered for experience but not sure who you would leave out then. Maybe they are just leaving him for future u/23 camps.

Winning trophy in aff.. no one worths a call up  to a senior team. This is a world cup qualified a real thing nt a friendly dropping points mean we b in deep shit.

Yeah I would have liked to have seen Duncan called up to the squad (without necessarily playing) for experience given he wasn't called up for Olyroos and I assume the Danish top tier stops for international breaks. John Iredale's league wouldn't so it's probably best to leave him to strike while the iron's hot with his form where he his. 

Milligan plays for a very poor bottom feeder club. If he remains in the Roos team, let alone as captain, it will be an excruciating embarrassment. 

I'm not seeing it. Grant has to be undisputed RB, Mclaren was Asian Cup first choice. Redmayne maybe a small eyebrow raise but he's been in form and Vukovic is injured.

No Rogic,Azani or Kruse.That's a surprise.

Both Rogic and Arzani are injured, Kruse has had his chance.. No McGree is more surprising.
