Just found out that former Sydney FC youth player Benjamin van Meurs has signed for Tai Po, the club Harry Sawyer used to play for.

That's nice. Didn't realise how much football Gan had missed with injury. He's 31 now! Glad to see him doing well and the national team stepping things up.

Full matches for Lyden, Burgess, Iredale
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Poor match by Iredale today. Gethin Jones got bgje assist after 20 seconds. Glad to see Lyden doing so well. Hopefully Swindon will go up.

Waldschmidt has a fracture in his face while Grifo is suspended. 2 slots fewer for Borrello to deal with but they've got a lot in attack.
I think both Leckie and Borrello should seek loans in winter. Borrello especially if he wants to stake any Copa America claim.

big change for Mooy going from 60 or so games a season to one a month. he was going to have issues getting minutes when Trossard came back. do you think he is getting punished for the red card that cost the game against Aston Villa? It will be interesting to see if he starts with Trossard out injured again. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/brighton-dealt-major-injury-blow-3547162

Mooy was playing well prior to his red card. In the two games immediately after (the first of which Mooy was suspended), Brighton won so it was not totally surprising that Mooy was not able to get back in the team. I don't think he was getting punished for the send off. The last game was a loss, so it will be interesting to see if Mooy plays a part next game. I think he will get plenty of game time this season.

SBS are reporting that they want to extend Daniel Arzani's stay.
I expect Balin Trev to go into ballistic mode.

Good to see him string some games together for a prolonged period.

Interestingly during the interview he said he has had absolutely no contact from the FFA. Quite disappointing when he has the option of choosing between Scottish and Australian national teams. Only 24, and has shown some definite potential.

According to transfermarkt and wiki, Chris Herd now plays in Bangladesh for Sheikh Russel.
What a fall from grace.

Burgess and Ryan Edwards played each other in the FA Cup this morning. Burgess got 76 mins and Edwards played the whole game. Burton won 4-1
Lyden played the whole game for Swindon. They lost 1-0.

86 minutes for Kalik in the Eternal Derby.
Time for a cap.

Early goal for Yokohama, Ange on top of the live table...
Two games to go after this, last one is a potential top of the table decider versus FC Tokyo.
