So let me get this straight, your opinion is Arzani should just be thrown without the proper recovery ahead of the likes of Elyounoussi, Johnston, Sinclair, Shved, Forrest because he had 1 decent season in the a-league? Simply put he was brought in to be a 3rd option right winger when Rodgers was here, was put into the development team for a few games to see where he was at and although showed glimpses was nowhere near as impressive as Johnston at that level. Eventually got a call up to first team and got injured when he came on, out for the rest of the season and now he's almost finished his recovery and back to square one. Shved the other winger who is injured scored 14 goals in Ukraine last season (I'm sure you know this with all the knowledge of world football you have), so unless Forrest get's injured, Shveds injury gets worse, I highly doubt Arzani will appear again. Would be good to see him at the likes of a Hibs or Hearts, still a step up in the standard of playing for Melbourne City, like he said himself 'I'm a quick player, but everything is quick over here, it takes a while to get used to'. However it would be stupid to rule out that he want's to come back here and build his confidence by dribbling past non existent defences, won't improve him as a player but will at least get his confidence back up. Where was your uproar when a fully fit Riley McGree didn't get an opportunity at Club Brugge? Always struck me as odd that Azani, a sub in the world cup, knew he was heading to Europe after it. He turned up at Celtic so unfit he had to wait until Oct or Nov for a 1st team chance. What does that say to you? He should have been super fit, aiming to start playing first trsm football un july or august. Listen to every commentator in his 15 ALeague games and they all talk about his lack of tactical awareness and his ability to last 90 minutes. I reckon demands on a 19 year old Celtic player, potentially 60 games a year are a bit heavier than his few A League minutes. Proof? Look at Rogics 90 minute completions for Celtic, and he rarely cracks 30 games a season. Azani it's said is highly intelligent. So why did he turn up so unfit, and why was he unable to crack Celtic team for so long. Ain't Celtic fault, but 15 min party pieces at a world cup tells me he wasn't really ready was he, or else Bert would have played him 3 x 90 mins. Something is missing in this story. Azani has the answer. Why did he turn up so out of shape? Why is he still not fit enough to get on the Celtic bench once? If he was killing it at Celtic Lennon would play him. You seem downright happy that he’s not playing, which is just weird. I can understand these Celtic tragics defending their club at any cost, but I would have thought the rest of us who care about our national team have a good reason to be concerned that he’s just not even being given a chance. He’s too good to rot in bloody Scotland. It’s ridiculous to defend Celtic in this situation. They’ve shafted Arzani big time.

Can't blame Celtic for not playing him. He's only played around 25 professional club games and is coming back from a horrible injury. He's shown plenty of skill of course but it's not like he's set the world on fire. He's a great young prospect who definitely could have a great career with the national team. However I do feel a lot of people overate him and are setting themselves up for dissapointment in thinking he's better then he is.
Plenty of promising young players have just faded into nothing over the years. So I'm not gonna hold my breath until he can prove himself.

Look up Kris Commons stats (the CAM before Rogic), that was the standard that was set for him and while he has moments of brilliance, he's nowhere near as efficient in the final third and Ryan Christie has already scored 8 goals and 7 assists from 28 games in Europe compared to Rogic who has 3 goals, 2 assists from 39 games. Where was your uproar when a fully fit Riley McGree didn't get an opportunity at Club Brugge? Always struck me as odd that Azani, a sub in the world cup, knew he was heading to Europe after it. He turned up at Celtic so unfit he had to wait until Oct or Nov for a 1st team chance. What does that say to you? He should have been super fit, aiming to start playing first trsm football un july or august. Listen to every commentator in his 15 ALeague games and they all talk about his lack of tactical awareness and his ability to last 90 minutes. I reckon demands on a 19 year old Celtic player, potentially 60 games a year are a bit heavier than his few A League minutes. Proof? Look at Rogics 90 minute completions for Celtic, and he rarely cracks 30 games a season. Azani it's said is highly intelligent. So why did he turn up so unfit, and why was he unable to crack Celtic team for so long. Ain't Celtic fault, but 15 min party pieces at a world cup tells me he wasn't really ready was he, or else Bert would have played him 3 x 90 mins. Something is missing in this story. Azani has the answer. Why did he turn up so out of shape? Why is he still not fit enough to get on the Celtic bench once? If he was killing it at Celtic Lennon would play him. After all Eduard, Johnston, Morgan, Sved, all very young blokes who get many varying minutes in the strongest and biggest Celtic squad for years. Oh please, your such a dick! Trying to blame Arzani like he isn’t tactically aware and that he was unfit when arriving at Celtic.

He's shown plenty of skill of course but it's not like he's set the world on fire. He's a great young prospect who definitely could have a great career with the national team. However I do feel a lot of people overate him and are setting themselves up for dissapointment in thinking he's better then he is. Plenty of promising young players have just faded into nothing over the years. So I'm not gonna hold my breath until he can prove himself. This so much. He was an excellent prospect but the way some people talk on this forum it’s like he’s the second coming of Maradona. Calm the fuck down till he actually achieves something, Making like two subs appearances off the bench in a World Cup isn't an achievement??!?!1 After making about 10 appearances for Melbourne City. Those World Cup appearances say more about the Socceroos than anything. Which player(s) were ahead of him - Those who started the World Cup matches?? Pretty much. So impressive in just 10 games that Van Marwijk rushed him into WCUP squad- and gives him game time- where he showed super talent against some quality players...

So I rekcon that the knee Arzani has overused is the one his good side. Would make no sense that he's overused a knee that he's not been able to fully use. That would be a better situation by far. He'll still be able to exercise and put some force on his ACL side. Rather than having to sit around and not use that leg.

His body was barely ready for senior football in the A-League. He was great in his small number of games but he also died in the arse by the 60-70th min mark to the point where I recall him being helped off the field he was so crippled by cramp on a couple of occasions. To think he could’ve transitioned to European football so quickly was absurd. Rogers knew that when he got to Celtic hence why he took some time to make his debut. Unfortunately the ACL went and that threw everything out the window. He needs to come back to the A-League, be the big fish again and work on just getting game time. Fatigue is a major contributor to injury/re-injury so considering his history getting minutes in his legs is crucial.
