Does this guy even realise there is an Adelaide United website that has the player stats?
He gives Michael Marrone a "N/A". Why? Beacuse 'he hasnt featured this season'. WTF??? One look at the official website shows that he has played 6 games - 4 of them starts - 482 minutes of game time.
Lets compare that with Monterosso. The guy gets a rating of 5. Yes a 5. One point less than Barbiero. One point less than Paul Reid. One point less than Cassio. and how many minutes of games time has Monterosso played to get this rating?? - a huge 20 mins over 2 games.
Boy doesnt take much to get a 5 star rating Val. Val = 5 Star Cock Head

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please see below for my correspondence with Adelaide united. Kind of embarrassing now but i was so upset after reading the quotes after the central Coast game( i posted the same email here somewhere) that i emailed dom Rinaldi, Sam Cicarello and Vidmar. I really wasnt expecting a response. ahahahaaaaaa...how embarassing. From: Davide Chiro [mailto: davide.chiro@wwsa.com.au] Sent: Friday, 6 November 2009 10:05 AM To: Sam Ciccarello Subject: Im so damn sick of this Some quotes I have just read from Vidmar (below) Oh and for the record I do NOT hate him, He was my favourite player as a youngster and think he deserves his chance to make mistakes but I cant take this anymore. Adelaide have scored just 12 goals from 13 fixtures, while ninth-placed Brisbane have scored 16 from the same number of games. Vidmar said his charges need to click up front. "Our movement last week was so much better," he said. (WHAT????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we watched that central coast game…not one genuine chance, maybe 2 half chances) "Getting it into the front third is not a problem for us, it's just that lack of quality, that final pass, that last shot on goal is just letting us down. "But I know if one goes in, then we hopefully start getting on a bit of a roll." (Ive been reading an almost exact quote like this every week since round 3!!!!!!!!!!!) Who is he trying to fool??? We’re a much smarter soccer crowd than he gives us credit for and is just angering A LOT of people with talk like this…. Clearly the results have not been satisfactory this season, but I can assure that no one is more disappointed than the coaching staff and the players. They are working hard on the training track to improve our performances and get back to our winning ways. There isn’t an Adelaide United club without its members and supporters and we are very appreciative of our loyal fans and hope that you will continue to stick by us during this challenging time. I have been a member for a few years and will be one for probably the rest of my life and being 28 you have my support for many years to come. That support has never wavered. My emails were simply out of frustration at the approach of the players and in particular Mr Vidmar’s approach to the media. The media is their connection to the fans, and as unfortunate a situation as that may be, I just wish they treated us with a bit more respect. We as fans don’t necessarily want to hear that all is well and with luck we will do better and we will try harder etc. We never really question the commitment shown by all the boys but we don’t need to be molly coddled. Some acceptance of responsibility on the part of the coach especially would go a long way to regaining some of the respect a few of the fans have started to lose. We all know that not every season can we win the league. We simply don’t need to hear the same thing every day that we played well but were just unlucky. Again thank you for your email. Davide Chiro

As Val is the only on the sport journo of that rag who knows something about football. A rag that really is only good for wrapping Fish & chips, he could write any bollocks because the AFL-centric 'Tiser's other " sports " journalists or their editor know zilch about football - ( well maybe not zilch but a damn site less than people on this forum! ). So Val gets paid for making stuff up & writing about it! and doing SFA - lucky bastard!!
Actually, doesn't he own an eatery down @ the Bay , so maybe he does the 'Tiser gig 'cause he hasn't been found out yet.

True journalistic integrity and professionalism, eh? Maybe his personal vendetta has scrambled his brains. Imagine not noticing marrone had played! After all he's only been a shining light!
He makes some salient points but there are too many errors wrapped up in too little fact.

What's an "Advertiser"??? :-k No, seriously, I don't read that garbage anymore. The only real football news about Adelaide United for me come directly from the official website itself.

I rarely go on there except for squad or club information... the news is mostly boring and stale. For me, all news comes straight from 442 and TWG. 2 genuinely good websites.

I would prefer we signed up another striker, but a creative mid would be very nice as well. But since it is Val saying it, it is probably bull. We will have to wait and see what the club says. The last time we went after Flores he signed with a different club.
