Half your bloody luck, all of you! :) General, I expect you to do a fair bit of shouting on my behalf. Have fun, guys. This could be our night.

Enjoy the win. 3-1 to us. I'll be watching the illegal feed...sigh....

great game by adelaide last night for me.

penalty was a bit harsh and owusu getting pulled down right in the face of the ref and linesman he had position on his defender should have been a penalty

on owusu played bloody well up front by himself excellent job

pants for me really got on my nerves he is looking to do it himself to get a contract for himself few times last night where he could have played it through to leckie or dodd

hughes go away why cant he do a hamstring or somthing the game just passes him by

the big thing was dodd getting that knock if that didnt happen shin2 would have come on for barbs as he wasnt himself and maybe christiano would have come on for pants but i doubt it everyone else was solid top marks for playing to win and getting back in the game with what was agreat goal

leckie is a champion we should sign him for three more years because we all know a club will want him. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO PAY. because it would have to be alot

My heart sank when I saw Reid and Jamo playing for the youth team, and how Monterosso had been overlooked AGAIN!

I saw Leckie massaging his knee and he sat down in the 1st half and wobbled both legs - time for the operation and to promote Monterosso methinks.

Hughes had an impact as he got a yellow in 90 secs. He's obviously a good friend of Viddies as Viddie is the only one who believes he should be out there.

Pantelis should join hogs anonymous or just go to Brisbane.

Went to buy tix for the ACL @ Venuetix this morning only to be advised ticketec were now the suppliers ( FFA decision no doubt ), and when I got there was advised that I couldn't buy tix until 4.30 @ Hindmarsh - none of this was on the leaflet that Adelaide posted me!!

I've been a member since inception - way to treat supporters United.

What with a coach who's lost the plot, no passionate owner and a squabbling backroom, I'm questioning my loyalty.

You should have received a little brochure shortly before Christmas which had a note as to when we can buy ACL tickets. They are due to go on sale for us today as redcup mentioned.

Just got back actually. Spoke to a few of the players. Didn't get much out of them though.

Shin was awesome though - I think he had his parents at his side most the time. :p

Costa said he's feeling a lot better after the knee surgery but that it's been a shame he's had to miss the season because of it.

Owusu is a gentleman as expected.

Flores will need to work on his English, but he had a lengthy conversation with a few of our Spanish-speaking supporters.

Dodd says he feels a little sore, but said he'll be alright. Dunno if that means he'll be alright for Tuesday night or not.

Viddie was in surprisingly good spirits.

Turn out was quite good. I think there were more there this year than last year.

I took pictures with nearly all the players. After I left I realised I hadn't taken one with Monterosso! Bugger!

I only went there to get my ACL tix. Stood in line for an hour ( there were only 5 people in front of me. Guess that's what happens when you change the contract from state based Venuetix to nationally based Ticketec! ) - glad I did though 'cause I got a very good seat.

Didn't talk to any players, the hour long wait was too much in the end. #-o

Yeah, I was thinking of lining up for the ACL tickets too, but in the end I couldn't be bothered. I'll just order them through Ticketek on Monday. Hopefully they have our members allocation sorted out.

I went along with the kids expecting it to be like the other years. I was mistaken - just goes to show what a difference Bianco made. No rides or activities for the kids like the other years - just a face painter. Personally I wasnt too worried but my wife was going to kill someone. :lol:

Anyway here is some quotes from the players I talked to:

Jamo - I asked 'what is this BS about you playing in the youth team after being called up for the Socceroos?' - he said 'yeah, I dont know whats going on mate - thats my coach over there (pointing at Viddie) - why dont you go and have a word to him?'

Marrone - I asked him about the move to Qld - he said 'not too keen about the heat but should be a good experience'. I assured him he would be missed and on the surface it appeared he made the right move for his career.

Cornflakes - I asked him when he would be back in the first team - he pulled out the famous line - 'I'll keep training my best and taking one week at a time to get back in ASAP'. Gold.

Flores - um ...yep - came across as a nice guy but basically just smiled and repeated back whatever I said - 'welcome to Adelaide mate'.... 'ah, welcome' - 'are you looking forward to playing in the ACL?'...'uh, ACL' - it then dawned on me he didnt speak English - oops.

Leckie - I asked him to hang around for a few years as we needed him - he said something like..'We'll see what happens' - the girls were all over him. Poor guy had to have photo's with a long line of 15 year olds.

Owusu = complete gentleman.

Alemao = Mr Nice guy.

Rudan = too cool for school.

Shin = mommy's boy.

Pantelis = nigel no friends.

Dodd = Mr Popular.

Galekovic = absolutely fantastic bloke.

My little boy that just turned 5 went off to have a kick with the kids on the oval. A few minutes later he came back saying he wasnt allowed to play. I went over to the kids and asked why he wasnt allowed to play? A kid who looked the spitting image of a little Cristiano said 'we are going to play rough and we dont want him to get hurt' and that 'if I wanted him to play and get hurt it was up to me'...GOLD!

Wish I had gotten along :( Ended up having to fix the storm water at my place and then went to Goolwa as it was too late in the afternoon to head into the city.

@ Timmo: I sit in the Eastern stand, about 4 rows back next to the centre line when I can.

I actually ended up holding 6 seats in the row I was in as my irregulars let me know they were going to the game! I was constantly having to tell people that they were taken, very hard seeing as no reinforcements arrived until 10 minutes before kick off...

Good being there early, got to talk to some people who I have chatted to at previous games when I have been on my own.

BTW Stephen: I did a lot of yelling, probably the loadest person in the area of the stand I was in my a fair bit. We had a new bloke with us and the rest of my mates warned him to be prepared to go deaf sitting next to me :D

Purchased my ACL tickets this morning from Ticketek online. Painless process. I bought a General Admission ticket to both the first and second games - can't make the third seeing as I'll be in Japan when we play Shandong. :p

Good work going to the Shandong game - should be a good one to be at, the atmosphere in the J-League looks top notch.

Not sure if I am going to get to any group games for the ACL, will be taking it on a case by case approach. They are in the family diary (which means they actually exist, unlike anything I forget to put in it!) so will see if I can get along, totally dependant on when my wife is working sadly :(

We will have to organise where we will meet and when. Is Timmo the only Gold Member we have on here?

This year I'm a red member.

After 3 years of being a gold member I sacrificed the privilege so I could afford to buy both mine and my sons membership. He hasnt missed a game so it was worth it.

Cant wait for tonight. Heading down to Hindmarsh early with a friend who comes to only a couple of games each year. Hopefully the few beers I sink prior to the game starting will make another draw easier to swallow. :d

Hey Guys, who went to the members day? I didn't.. but anything interesting happen? Get to talk to anyone? Any players spill their thoughts? What was the turn out like? cheers

Jamo - I asked 'what is this BS about you playing in the youth team after being called up for the Socceroos?' - he said 'yeah, I dont know whats going on mate - thats my coach over there (pointing at Viddie) - why dont you go and have a word to him?'

Thanks for that mate. It's really concerning to see Jamo say that. Poor lad should be playing 1st team action without question. Jamo and Cassio on together for the win.

Jamo actually said it with a bit of a smirk and laugh. I think he knows there is a big future ahead for him and if it isnt under Sir Viddie then maybe it lies elsewhere. As you know I am still a big fan of Jamo and I hope he stays with us and excels under a new coach.

lol. Besides cheering when theres a goal, the highlight for five year old is cracking open his packet of smiths chips when the siren blows!

Does anyone know what's happened to our little friend Val???
I have not been keeping a really close eye on the papers for a week or so, just a bit of Adelaide Now, but it seems he hasn't written an article for while...or am I wrong?
