Had the misfortune to tune into Macquarie sports radio cricket on Sunday night on the way to the club.  Worst cricket coverage I've ever heard.  There was an ad in the middle of the description of  virtually every shot.  So bad I turned it off.

Article in the Tele about Lichaa trying to get a contract somewhere, anywhere and training on his own after work. Whole situation just reignites the hate for Des. Let Ennis go, let Cook go even though he's the best hooker in the game now. Bring in a young bloke, completely change his game and then ruin him. Us and Lichaa both screwed over - but Des got his big payday so all good.

Yep I do feel sorry for Lichaa..... Des messed up his game a bit and he hasn't been able to recover.... in particular he bulked up and became an 80 minute player ... at snail pace...

Maybe he would not have cut it in the NRL anyway, but looking at from a club point of view .. he was the wrong player for the style Des wanted to play, and we also let Cook go.

I'm just glad the Des/Crusher era is over and we seem to be recovering fine.. apart from 2012 we never had the cattle to win the comp, and 2012 would have been a strange kind of win....  off the back of Ben Barba and one attacking play ...with ordinary halves most of the time...

Outside of Hooker, I also question what was happening in the halves, it is very obvious Reynolds and MBye were not equipped to play halfback...

All we need is one good prop to have a better overall team than the Des era, even with Foran out injured... more importantly we have a bit more purpose and variety in attack, granted there was only one way that could go.

I dont feel sorry for Lichaa.
He was given every chance to shine and failed to do so under 2 coaches. Got paid 1st grade money and we also threw him a lifeline when we should have punted him first time around.

What I do feel sorry for is our club for letting Cook go - something some of us (at least me) claimed it would be the biggest loss since Thurston - and was/is.

I only look forward now to what this Sione Katoa can bring to the team. Maybe he can make the hooker spot his own, or push JMK to another level. Either way, I'm glad Lichaa is in the past.

Thing for me with the big mouth was his passing game never improved over that time... And allegedly that and tackling was all he had to do...
I say never put in the extras to improve that aspect of his game, and it is his fault and his fault alone no other club in the world has picked him up...

And coming out saying he ignored the coach the last month of 2017 didn’t help either... just what a prospective coach wants to hear...
